Fury Warrior Rotation Guide - Midnight

Fury Warrior Rotation in

Fury Warriors revolve around maximizing Enfurecer uptime and dealing damage through fast-paced attacks and a variety of special abilities, excelling at dealing high multitarget damage while sacrificing little to no single target to do so.

Avoid Downtime - Fury generates the majority of its rage from abilities, so reducing the amount of time spent chasing, running out mechanics, or otherwise not hitting the boss is critical to maximizing performance. There are several abilities to help with this, such as Cargar and Salto heroico, so use them smartly to stay on target as much as possible!

Keep Abilities on cooldown - nearly every rotational Fury ability generates rage, though only Desenfreno spends it, and in large amounts. This makes it very important to ensure that abilities are constantly being used to ensure that Enfurecer is constantly maintained, even to the point of delaying Rampage in order to use rage more efficiently.

Avoid wasting Rage - unlike most resources, rage starts from zero and decays out of combat. Making efficient use of it, both in combat and by reducing the amount of time spent moving from one combat to another, will help maintain the rotation and eliminate downtime spent waiting for more resources.

Execute timing varies, depending on Muerte súbita procs.

Descarga tormentosa is an extremely minor damage increase when used during Bladestorm, though it is not worth talenting at the expense of survivability or mobility.

Because it deals damage in an area, Whirlwind can be cast mid-charge to trigger its buff before going into the full rotation.

If additional targets are coming up soon after the pull, cooldowns should always be saved for them instead of being used in the opener.

Odyn's Fury is used before opening cooldowns, in order to avoid further cluttering the already busy rotation.

Because the goal is to keep Bloodbath on cooldown and use Rampage in between as much as possible, Thunder Blast is only prioritized when it has two stacks available in order to prevent overcapping. Otherwise, Thunder Clap, Sudden Death, and Crushing Blow should be used as fillers in between those more important abilities.

Recklessness and Avatar are both affected by Anger Management, and so they may be macroed together for ease of use.

Because Thunder Blast has a high priority during Avatar, there is no need to preemptively apply the Whirlwind buff.

Recklessness and Avatar are both affected by Anger Management, and so they may be macroed together for ease of use.

If additional targets are coming up soon after the pull, cooldowns should always be saved for them instead of being used in the opener.

Top talent - Anger Management

Siegebreaker in the rotation...

Wut?

ST: Rampage > Raging Blow at 2 charges > Bloodthirst

Never played a warrior so forgive me asking - aren't we risking resetting the enrage window half way through so we waste part of it? I thought Bloodthirst was only to trigger enrage and whirlwind would be filler if we had no raging blow or execute to cast during enrage, i.e.

Rampage > Raging Blow at 2 charges > Raging Blow at 1 charge > Whirlwind - > Bloodthirst

This is unnecessarily complicated. I need a spread sheet just to figure out what to do to simply play this game. Was this the plan or an unforeseen result of such overdevelopment? I guess there's always MInecraft...

Comentario de Auralyon

Does having the talent Cold Steel, Hot Blood change the priority between Bloodthirst and Raging Blow (and of course their empowered counterparts as well)?

I recall in BfA the bleed from Bloodthirst crits was strong enough to make keeping Bloodthirst on cooldown a higher priority than Raging Blow, and I'm wondering if that's the case now as well.

Comentario de Auralyon

In the "maximizing burst aoe" section, you list whirlwind as the first ability to use to get the whirlwind cleave charges up. However, since we're running the suggested Titanic Rage and Titan's Torment, we get those charges from using Avatar before any meaningful (ignoring the first Bloodthirst) single target ability to cleave. It seems to me that we can discard whirlwind from the burst opener, unless we're using Rampage to proc the initial Enrage, but at that point we're getting into the normal multi-target rotation since you should never use a Rampage in an aoe setting without a whirlwind charge.

Since patch 10.0.5, what is the best opener/priority rotation for fury warrior based on emphasizing the onslaught build? My profile is at https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/us/silvermoon/oxblade
My priority rotation has been raging blow/onslaught to generate rage which I use for rampage. When available I spam Execute and CD's as they come available but still my DPS is habitually on the bottom of every raid..... I have nice enchants, use my glacial pots, all the right stuff. I have anger management to get uptime on recklessness and ravager. One thing I'm not 100% sure on is where talents should be invest in the fury tree between ... I just brought my haste up from 20% to 23% with the recent completion/implementation of the catalyst quest so I don't know if this will make a noticable difference or not. I been contemplating going arms but I just dumped my primal focus/sparks into a second 402 2 hander so I hate to not utilize this. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I spend massive amounts of time on the raid dummy but never get those WOW moments in increasing dps. Last night on heroic brood I couldn't get over 29k dps (plateau rotational damage) on broodkeeper, even the tank was at times more than me.... My ilvl is 399 and I see all the time other warrior 5 or 10 ilvl lower than me pull down 40 and 50k steady (non-burst) dps easy (granted I don't have my 4pc tier set) but I get booted from raids frequently because of my low numbers can't figure out what to do to improve this, any advice would be greatly appreciated from my warrior brothers out there, thanks all!

now can you explain as if you are just starting off cuz i didnt understand any of this WoW terminology

Comentario de Physixtential

This is both a macros/rotation question but comments aren't allowed on macroes page. If I macro recklessness together with odyn's fury, is recklessness guaranteed to apply to that odyn's fury, or is it necessary to separate them?

Comentario de FlasKamel

Hey, quick question from a mediocre fury warrior:
Does Raging Blow only turn into Crushing Blow for one hit, and only after Rampage?
My button shines up even after I've used Crushing Blow, but the name goes back into Raging Blow, so I'm not sure whether I'm using Crushing Blow or Raging Blow sometimes...

Comentario de SauteedOnions

Why do you have Improved Whirlwind on the rotation if the spec you provided doesn't have it?

Comentario de drpimento

anger management isn't a recommeded talent in the tree, but in the rotation it is. Cant really split the dif.

Comentario de TheReturningKing

Builds using Reckless Abandon do not need to pre-cast Recklessness, as it will generate enough rage to immediately Rampage on the pull,

Hi,
I had a question about this statement:
In the article, I read this, but am confused; In order for Reckless Abandon to activate, you HAVE to cast Recklessness, which I assume is the very definition of pre-casting.

Also, in the DPS rotation section:
With Reckless Abandon activated: Crushing blow is the hardest hitting strike, yet appears at number 7 on the list. Likewise, with Anger Management selected: Raging Blow is still the hardest hitting strike, yet appears at number 7 on the list.
Both Crushing Blow and Raging Blow are skills that take up multiple points in the Fury Tree and even have bonuses in the Hero Tree, but in the DPS rotation build provided, Wowhead has whirlwind placed before these two...I can understand why Bladestorm may be chosen to come before CBlow/RBlow because of the extra damage buff added to hit enemies (however I've been starting with this, then running my rotation)....
What I do not understand is why a skill like whirlwind and execute would take precedent over your hardest hitting moves especially when you have a limited amount of time to work during Recklessness and Avatar...

I also do not understand why Thunderous Roar is used. NONE of the bleed or leech bonuses are further developed in the Hero Tree (obviously not Wowhead's fault, but It would be nice to see this site be openly critical towards Blizzard about BS like this....and Human racial bonuses being inferior to all other races).... But back to the topic: Thunderous Roar is fun for CC, but does it deserve to be in the top 5-7 on my rotation? I would like to know if this bleed effect is credited to my leech ability (if I can get some heals out of it, I'd consider using it)....

Thanks for your time!

This guide says:

"Improved Whirlwind allows Fury to cleave its normal single target rotation on up to 4 additional targets, fitting naturally into the rotation and allowing very easy access to cleave damage with little setup or single target damage loss."

That does not seem to match what the game shows me:

Whirlwind

"Unleashes a whirlwind of steel, striking all nearby enemies for 300,888 Physical damage. Deals reduced damage beyond 5 targets.

Causes your next 2 single-target melee attacks to strike up to 4 additional targets for 4% damage.
Generates 3 Rage, plus an additional 1 per target hit."

So what, is this a display issue in the game? 4% additional damage, is that a joke? In any case, this page is wrong if the game tip is right, as Improved Whirlwind only strikes 2 additional, not 4.

Comentario de disappointed

bruh you got mountain thane ST listed as top build, then on rotation page you don't even list it LOL - I'd beg you to fix but I know you can't be bothered

Comentario de Wardstone

So for Midnight Pre-Patch, you have for the Single Target opener to use Bladestorm. But in your talent portion for Single Target Slayer you chose Avatar as the Talent to have for Single Target. You can't have both.

Comentario de cloudcap

These comments are time capsules. Mentioning skills we don't have anymore, or rotations that are way out of date. I love them.

Comentario de shanekuchler

Here's my problem with that. Thunder blast is passive so we have no way to put it into rotation and Crushing Blow isn't even a spell. It isn't even a talent. So, you guys are just making *!@# up.

Comentario de disappointed

so much confusion with how this guide was written - @Archimtiros you are slipping. Mountain Thane ST rotation, the build doesn't even have thunder clap/blast, or rampage. The rotation isa incorrect, please revise this

Comentario de disappointed

He has Slayer and MT rotations backwards, hilarious.
