Strong trinkets are allways a good option for upgrading, they're one of the few slots where it's not unlikely that you'll use a heroic option for the entire season, and are also very farmable from M+. If you do get one of your best trinkets then it's a great option for crests.
High stat budaget slots
If you've allready spent your crests on weapon and trinkets the next best option is high stat budget pieces like helm, chest, or legs, especially if they're tier slots

Bonus Rolling with Nebulous Voidcores
In Season 2, players will be able to use

to target specific equipment via Bonus Loot rolls. Usable after Midnight Season 2 Raid Bosses, Mythic+ Dungeons, Bountiful Delves, and Nightmare Prey Hunts, this will be a key way to obtain best-in-slot pieces slowly over the rest of the Season. Using a Bonus Roll will reward an item level equivalent to Great Vault rewards from that content, making it possible to obtain items at Myth track from completing dungeons at Keystone level +10 or Heroic Raid Bosses.
Ula'tek is by far the best bonus roll target and it's very important that you bonus roll it as Guardian loot spec in order to limit the loot pool to the 4 hit items.

Guilotine is a simple trinket, it's just a damage proc however it's tuned strong enough that it's our strongest option in single target.
