This set uses the orange-purple (officially "Purple") version of the "B4 Plate" artwork, one of a number of mail sets that use plate skins. It forms six pieces of a seven-piece set of the art.

Unfortunately there aren't any shoulders available that use the proper artwork and colour for this set. The "Engraved" ones use unrelated art for some reason, and so aren't listed here. For such a beautiful set, it's a real shame that the proper shoulders aren't available. In fact none of the sets that use the three colours of this artwork (see below) use the proper shoulder art.

Like many older sets, there actually isn't any headpiece artwork. While there is a "Engraved" headpiece, it uses unrelated artwork and so also isn't listed here.

There are only two other colour variants of this artwork in the database and both are available as sets, see:

Silver: Ornate Mail
Brass: Masterwork Mail

I personally like the Helm and Shoulders from the Earthshatterer set with the rest of the Engraved set. ;)

Too bad the 碎地者首盔 and 碎地者肩甲 are from Tier 3 (level 60 Naxx) and are no longer available in game.
I do not feel that the colors from the T7 recolor sets match well enough to go along with the set. =(

On my own hunter, I was fortunate enough to get the Halberd of Smiting prior to the ZG close and upgrade, and have been using it with this set. Add in the Emberhawk Crossbow from the Arcatraz (normal or heroic), and you have a fantastic red and gold transmog set.

If you don't still have the Halberd, I'd recommend the Hellreaver from Hellfire Ramparts normal.

Since nobody has yet commented on how to get this set I figured I may as well write what I did to get this gorgeous set for my hunter (now completed!).

The first thing I attempted was running through lower blackrock spire and killing everything (though that takes ages). The last boss in LOWER blackrock spire Overlord Wyrmthalak aparently has a 4% chance to drop 紋刻胸甲 and a 2% to drop 紋刻護腿. I killed the last boss maybe 30 times (skipped the mobs) the pants dropped for me twice and I never saw the top.

However, one day felt like killing some trash and 紋刻束腰 did drop off of them!

What seemed to work better then farming lower blackrock spire was farming the rare mobs in Blasted Lands.
The rares usually are up (it's not very popular a place to visit) at least for my dead server. The good thing is there's quite a few of them lurking around and all of them have a chance (though for some it's a very small chance) to drop the pieces.

Eventually the shoulders, bracers, boots and gloves dropped off them!

I didn't get anything for the engraved set by handing in either 無瑕的德萊尼水晶球 or 殘缺的德萊尼水晶碎片 (you get one of those two from killing a rare mob).

Also when you're farming these rares you have a chance to get pieces for the blue and gold version of this set (called Ornate Mail) which is also lovely.

Finally it's worth checking your AH because I ended up buying the chest piece for 8G off of mine LOL.

Personally what I found as a nicer and easier to get option for the headpiece was 毀滅之冠 it drops from Rag in Molten Core.

Personally, some better shoulders for this set are the Masterwork Pauldrons. They look a lot better than the ones here and they're the same color so it matches beautifully. And as a few others have said, Crown of Destruction does indeed look fantastic with this set!

My best advice as Ive been farming for this set is to kill the rares in the Badlands like Mstino (above comments) mentioned. They're easy to get to, easy to find, and they're always up on my realm as no one really goes out there. They take about 24-42 hours to respawn and they have a decent drop rate for the pieces. In just a week I have all the pieces of this set except the boots. :) Dont forget to check your auction house several times a day as well! I got the Masterwork Shoulders and the girdle by checking the AH daily.

Since the shoulder art for Engraved Pauldrons doesn't really fit well with the rest of the set, here are some alternate shoulder options:

Hero's Pauldrons
Rocket-Chief Pauldrons
Stormcaller's Pauldrons (shaman only) also comes with optional matching helm: Stormcaller's Diadem
Merciless Gladiator's Spaulders (shaman only)

I think the Stormcaller's Pauldrons match the set colors most closely, but the styles are not very similar and it's also only available for shaman.

If you'd rather not be showing midrift (somehow seems inappropriate for a male orc) the best matching shirt I've found is 紅色劍客襯衣 . Despite it's name, this 'red' shirt matches the set quite well.

I have all this set and my hunter looks AMAZING! I love this set! i have everything except the boots and gloves... I am wearing the glimmering mail boots and vicious dragon scale gloves but mogrified... i have used the vicious set but trasnmogrified into this set I also have used skettis spaulders which don't look to bad with the set... For the last piece my helmet I'm currently looking for the Crown of Destruction :) i think it will go very well with the set and im looking forward to completing it :) xx

If you are lucky enough to find it or buy it on the AH, a really beautiful 1-handed mace for shamans to mog with this set is 蘇冥上古權杖.

赫洛德的護肩 Doesn't look that bad with this set, although 龍爪肩鎧 looks better as it does cover both shoulders.

This comment sections lacks in up-to-date information, so I'll rectify some outdated information from below. It is now possible to get the shaman T3 shoulders - imho by far the best match - from the BMAH! The best part of it - hunters can bid on them too (sorry, shamans. i'm totally going for it). It'll cost you a decent amount of gold, i suspect far more than the initial 10k. As for the helm slot, the normal 烈焰之冠 is a great match, personally i'm torn between the old and the new rag crown. I haven't decided on the weapon yet, because really, there is quite a number of good choices: 盛怒重弩, 殘忍鬥士鳳凰之弩, 『黑暗使者』瑟米歐斯, 擊心者維尚卡，大地之顎, 仇恨鬥士步槍, 龍息手持火砲 (i haven't gone too much into depth for guns because i don't like them; there surely are a few more good ones)

Also, another tip for hunters: our heroic T12 doesn't have any matching belt, but this set's belt fits in quite neatly. Imho, it's the only alternative to the off colored non-heroic belt.

does anyone know of any boots that share the same model as these for the ornate (gold and silver) set? i hate the look of the bulky boots for ornate, but the red of engraved boots just doesn't match the gold and silver.
