Whoa. This looks like they plan to increase the costs of changing Alchemy specializations, at least for high-level/high-skill characters. That, or it is a slightly more expensive alternative to the 大師級藥劑 quest that requires BC elixirs and running a BC dungeon, for those that really cannot be arsed to do a level 70 dungeon once or twice :P

edit: the quest 大師級藥劑 that could be done at level +68, is no longer in game, so this will be the only source to get to 藥劑專精
which is way better, cause farming for mats could take a long time and ~~Sadly~~ you can't find all the things from BC era in AH. ~~And I like getting it fast, and don't wait for farming.~~

This is something that I have been waiting for long time. I just hate when I have to farm BC items to get specialization

I'm assuming this is the new Patch 4.3 quest to get Elixir Mastery. I had one of the old quests in my quest log, but when I logged in after 4.3 went live, it was gone and I couldn't get it again.

Since I was waiting to level for the Darkmoon Faire, I can confirm that this quest (including all of the Mastery quests for Alchemy) can be found from 莉琳希亞·夜風 on alliance-side. However, she did not offer the quests until I hit 475 in alchemy.

I also couldn't find the old quests.

In short, you now must wait until 475 in alchemy to pick a mastery (unless you already picked one before the patch).

Edit to add: The quest gives you nothing more than the mastery in exchange for all the elixirs (went elixir mastery). I was 81 at the time of completion (bought the elixirs for the quest off the AH).

So this confused the crap outta me. They give you the quest to be an Elixir Master at 475 but you can't actually complete the damned thing until you're about 510 because you simply can't learn to make the flasks until then. I think someone at Blizz was high or something...

Clearly I'm missing something. Turn-in is at any Alchemy Trainer in any capital city. Isn't Dalaran the capital of Northrend? If not, what is it's capital?

Since this is not clearly stated, you don't have to make the flasks by your self. You can have a friend make them for you or buy them from the AH.

I just completed gathering all of the ingredients necessary for this quest just after patch 5.0.4 was released. Guess what, everything changed, now it's a level 90 quest.

new elixirs required: X 2 each
Flast of Winter's Bite
Flast of Earth
Flast of Warm Sun
Flast of Springs Blossoms

requiring:
Fools Cap (8)
Golden Lotus (8)
Rain Poppy (8)

This quest can be accepted with level 475 alchemy and (at least) level 75. I leveled my alchemist and could accept the quest, however I can't create the flasks yet because I am too low level. You can buy the flasks of course.

After my character became an Elixir Master I could get extra Flasks when I made them. Mostly you get singles but every few flasks you make you can get x2 or up to x10.

I figured out by my own stupidity that even though the old mastery quests are no longer there, the old mastery still remains... I was under the impression that i would need to learn a new mastery, but in fact i'm still the potion master i became in TBC.

Turns out you need to go see the Darnassus alchemy trainer to unlearn your current mastery. The SW trainer doesn't give you the option to unlearn.
Then you are offered the Mastery quests.
