I have found the solution to this problem.
first of all dont kill her in mid air
if you should happen to do (dots n so on)
then you can go back to get quest giver and talk to the guy say you lost your way and that (remember to abandon the quest first.. then he will teleport you inside where you then auto will have to accept the quest again and there you go a new try just remember dont kill them mid air..)

First time I tried this quest I didn't get credit (maybe because I killed her in mid-air). I started by attacking Zanzil, and then attacking Jeklik whenever Zanzil was away.

Second time I tried it I started by attacking Jeklik, I never attacked Zanzil. I was able to kill Jeklik without Zanzil doing anything, he just stood there. This time I got the quest completed.

I'm playing a mage, and thus was able to attack from range. Maybe this way I didn't aggro Zanzil or something, I don't know.

I read these posts before doing the quest, and I was also able to kill her without Zanzil doing anything, however I still didn't get credit. Once she disappears, Zanzil runs away, then nothing happens. When I step back outside the area towards where I landed when I was teleported, then she and Zanzil reappear. So frustrating.

Okay, this worked for me, but this method may only work if you're ranged. You can attack the priestess from afar and lower her life so she's a fraction from dead. Then, attack the guy, you only need to get his attention, you don't need to kill him. Finish off the priestess with a final blow and the quest should be completed.

K i had the same problem as most people were having i would kill the priest and not get credit for completing the quest so wat i did to complete the quest was i went right up to the priest started attackin her and also got zanzils attention so while i was killin her he would start attackin me and when she was finally dead he ran off and i completed the quest.

It's definitely bugged. The first time I killed her in mid air and didn't get credit. Then I read the comments here. Went back and sheeped Zanzil and killed the priestess. Didn't get credit. Went back again, sheeped Zanzil, and meant to *almost* kill the priestess but attack Zanzil a bit first, however I hit this incredible crit and killed her. Got credit that time. Attempt three ended up being virtually identical to attempt two (accidently) and one time I got credit and one time I didn't.

The good news is you don't need to abandon and go back to the quest giver if it doesn't complete. Just run back to the ramp and they respawn.

I was also having problems with this.
At first attempt, I thought what many people did. Kill the Zanzil, then finish her off. But, I couldn't get a large enough hit in to kill him (probably scripted I'm assuming). So, I just started hitting the Priestess. I killed her while Zanzil was moving her, and was left with nothing.

So, I looked up the quest here, and luckly, I was not the only one having problems. I went back to the questgiver (don't remember who exactly) and said I had lost my way. She TP'd me back to just at the bottom of the path.
Followed some earlier advice for ranged classes, and started hitting her, completely ignoring Zanzil. He didn't move, even thought he should have seen the damage (this portion is probably bugged, I would imagine Blizzard meant for him to do something). I received credit that time, and everything was good to go.

If you can find her body before Zanzil gets to her, you can get her down to less than half health before he even shows up. Keep hitting her while in the air, but don't kill her (er...the body). Follow it to the next location, then finish it off. Zanzil runs away and quest complete. After you complete, hit the portal and get ready for the next one. Happy Hunting.

I had the same problem.

But after Zanzil ran away, I just hung out for 2 minutes and both Zanzil and the priestess reappeared.

This time around, I did not attack Zanzil, just her and was able to kill her and get credit.

All you have to do is hit Zanzil once then destroy the priestess's body. Don't worry about him, he hits like a girl. Just get his attention then waste her.

This quest isn't bugged. The way to complete it is very simple. Just destroy the body, don't engage whith the priest at all, keep hitting on the body until it is destroyed and you will get the credit immediately.

If you start fighting with the priest thing, or what ever he is, He disappears and then reappears elsewhere and moves the body and then you have to keep on hitting it .

If you don't fight him he doesnt do this, but he will attack you and hit on you all the time you are hitting the body. This may be a problem for some classes as you may die before completing, but I did it with a lvl 33 warrior with no problem at all.

got stuck on this quest. kept killing her and used all the different methods described.... without any luck. had to get a GM to sort it out!

Terribly bugged series of quests! I complete this one by jumping on the platform that she's on, ignoring the add and just melee her on the platform.

If you kill Priestess Jeklik from a distance you will not agro Zanzil, just keep plugging away at the priestess until she is dead then the quest is complete and Zanzil will make a comment and disappear. To make this quest easy just remember "Do not try to kill the priestess in the air", and if possible "Do not agro Zanzil." I hope that this information helps you.

You have to attack and kill Zanzil first and kill her while in the air
This worked for me so please try it too
This Also works for Venoxis

Stayed out of Zanzil's range and used ranged weapon on High Priestess Zeklik's body. When the body reached 200 hit points, meeleed priestess to bam-bam zero. Zanzil scurries away! The key here is to be patient during the ranged part.

Also had a problem with it not completing when killing her midair. Running out of the area caused them to immediately reset.

The second time, I destroyed Jeklik while she was on the ground and while Jin'do was faded away. He re-materialized and I got credit.

I don't know if you'd call it a bug, or just a poor quest description, but here's the deal:

1: When you get there, she's already at half health.

2: Use a ranged attack to ALMOST kill her. The priest won't even notice you're there, and you won't be bothered.

3: Go in and kill her the rest of the way at close range. You must be within melee range of her, and have the priest aggroed on you (which he will be the moment you run in).

I took little or no damage from him in the few shots it took me to finish her off.

This quest is still working oddly. As a hunter, I attacked from range while my pet was in melee. Ignored Zanzil. Killed her - body flew apart - but no quest completion.

Headed out of area a bit and they respawned. This time stood on the platform and killed her in melee range - still ignoring Zanzil. Body flew apart and quest completed.

It seems that you MUST be in melee to get the quest completed - not just a pet or minion.

You'd think after this long it would be fixed or at least rewritten!

Showed up on my rogue -- she was at full health with the screen on-and-off flashing 'she's almost at full!'. She was greyed out, couldn't be damaged though I could use attacks on her (no evade notification either). Guess I have to abandon this questline till this gets fixed.

zanzil is not immune to long term cc effects such as polymorph, wyvern sting etc so just put him to sleep and kill the priestess.
