I just lost a battle 3/0 to somebody using this ability, I was surprised there wasn't more comments on it since it's evidently bugged. I was fighting him with an Amythyst Spider (lvl 24), Darkmoon Rabbit and Toxic Wastling, both 25 from my main deck. I'm just getting the last bit of xp to push the spider to 25.

Despite an attack increasing damage taken by 25%, both my UNDEAD attacks Leech Life (spider) and Absorb (toxic) which are strong against humanoid pets were being blocked. Blocked is what happens when you have more damage reduction than incoming damage but at 25, the stoneskin was 78 and the sandstorm reduction was 78.. 140 MAXIMUM absorbs, since both reductions state 'up to' said numbers. My attacks should have still been landing for anything between 70-100, not much, but with self healing and switching to keep debuff up, the outcome of the battle should have been much less one sided.

I guess the only way to beat a player who wants to play like that is to have weather changing stats yourself or play with powerful elementals capable of punching through that silly cheese shield.

Yes, all my pets were rare quality.

So, unless I am missing something here, I've reported this as a bug and going to Kalimdor to farm some retardedly powerful cheese pets (:

It seems Sandstorm can make healing abilities miss. I've seen 魔法喇蛄's 回生迷霧 and 希願 "miss" when Sandstorm was up in the 『荒行者』塾 fight against 小搥擊者.
All that happens when a heal "misses" or "fails" is the spell doesn't apply at all, and your character does a /cry animation.
Just to clarify, Wish didn't even apply the first buff at all when this happened.
Edit: Just experienced 誘餌 miss as well. If you're familiar with the ability, it only made a single "tink" noise, then stopped. Then my character did a /cry

This ability is amazing.

It creates a long lasting damage reduction shield for all of your pets and completely shutsdown enemy teams reliant on dots and multi-attacks.

It's true that it also buffs your opponent but his team is likely not designed to fight in a sandstorm whereas yours should be thus giving a great advantage:

- Using guaranteed or high accuracy moves to minimize effective hit-chance penalty.
- Using single high damage attacks and charge up moves
- Using durable pets and or ones with healing abilities (the sandstorm's reduced damage intake will make them very sustainable)

It's not invincible but it definitely has great uses. Counters.
- Enemy pets that are not hindered by sandstorm - use high damage attacks and accurate moves
- Elemental pets that are not affected at all
- Any pets that can change weather (very many pets can)

getting the nerfbat in 5.4, it will last 5 turns only and a 4 turn cd. finally, screw you, anubishan idol :)

Seems to be broken in the newest patch. Went to level a pet using the Sandstorm/Switch Leveling Pet In For One Round/Switch Out method, and after switching him in, he still took full damage from the other pets attack.

It should hit in rapid succession and build to a crescendo over multiple uses.
