Not hard to farm for an extra bit of NR gear. As a level 60 Warlock it takes me about 10 minutes to ninja my way to Thermaplugg without having to fight a single mob. Hint: the front entance is faster than the back one.

You'll probably need to make a lot of runs for an enchantment that you like. I'm holding out for an "of Nature Resistance" ring or two.

Wow, increased stats on these make them pretty ridiculous.

6 agi/3 stam was the 2nd best ring (besides BG ring) for my 29 hunter, now you can get of the monkey charged gears that are 7 agi/7 stam. o.O

Time to farm Gnomeregan. :O

This has become the best (or the 2nd best, depends how high u rate Deadman's hand epic thingie) twink ring for most classes within level 20-29 bracket.

Additionally, as it is not unique, you can have 2 - sweet!

Now, I am trying to farm 2 Charged Gears of the Monkey since the 2.3 was released (doin approx 5 runs per day), so far I've got one. Big question is - altho I have seen loads of Tiger, Bear, Owl, Eagle etc Gears so far, all of them were +6 stat 1 and +7 stat 2 (or vice versa). I have not seen a single +7 +7 or +6 +6 one. Do they exist? (And why is the spawn rate of +7 +7 so low that I have seen none in like 30+ gears I managed to spawn so far)

Also another very good ring for all 29 twink classes is the Epic Deadman's Hand 10sta and has a chance on melee range and spell hit to freeze an attacker for 3sec

3-14% drop chance
Higher lvls have a less chance to proc on
it is unique tho

Most would say that the best chant for any melee 29 twink would be monkey with 7/7, but have I have my own belief which is a little bit different. My 29 druid twink (IronSpider) is coming along nicely, and i am looking to get 2 of these, with both ...of eluding chants.

12 dodge, 5 agi x2= 24 dodge and 10 agi
agi already increases dodge as well, but i havent run the numbers to see what 10 agi will do at 29, however, if u combine this with the Wolfmaster Cape (5agi, 6 dodge rating) that has a 12 dodge rating chant on it, you can have another 18 dodge and 5 more agi, so, to total it all: +42 dodge, 15 agi, i am estimating that you could easily get over 60% dodge at 29, and for a melee, w/o sacrificing life, that is amazing.

An enchantment not listed here is "of frost resistance" which has +14 frost resist. I had it drop while I was farming for an "of the monkey" ring and I was surprised that there is no mention of it here. To give you an idea of the drop rate it dropped in 10-15 runs.

Also, a handy tip for farming this for twinks. If you have a level 70 hunter, just have the pet do all the killing (except for boss) and no one gets any XP. Just put the twink on auto-follow and grind your way to Mekgineer Thermaplug. I averaged 20 minutes per run, including the time to run back to entrance and reset instance.

While you're at it, its useful to make a macro "/target Dark Iron Ambassador" and spam it in the last tunnel before the boss. He's rare spawn that drops some nice twink leather bracers with random enchants.

I actually took this for my 39 twink Rogue because it came with "of Eluding" and many others around me liked it and wanted it. Can't go wrong with a better dodge rating that you won't find for a while.

I got this ring first time killing Mekgineer Thermaplugg and I got the right one, of the bear (for a lvl 29 reb pala twink), but now it is 7stamina 6 str, but I think it's useless to go back in, the chance it will drop another "of the bear" is very small and than there's 7str 6 stamina or the same one that can be dropped.
When you twink, just go with a high level friend into Gnomeregan and obtain the best fitting ring of this for your twink. Imo together with the Deadman's hand the best lvl 29 twink rings. If you dont find both these rings get the Seal of Wrynn

Currently all randomized animal attributes have been normalized so that there is only one set of values for a current item level. What this means for this ring is that the Agility, Intellect, Spirit, Strength, or Stamina modifiers will always be +9. Mixes of 2 different primary stats will always be 5/5.

Any randomized items obtained before this change have had their stats updated so there are no grandfathered items that are better.

So far I have done around 900-1000 boosts in gnomeregan on my 24 rogue and I never saw of agility ring which i need so #$%^ing badly. I have seen agility ring twice but when not on my rogue T_T
Also I have only seen "of stamina" twice and "of eluding" once. Rest i have found more than 20 times each.

These rings were never really twink material until later patches of the game because lots of gnomeregan gear required higher levels and 29 twinks were NOT able to equip these. Of course that changed and a few years later even 24 twinks can equip 2 of these.

Reason why its got so high boost of stats is they were designed for mid 30s and above, but Blizzard never altered their stats and kept as-is. Just lowered its level requirement
Only 39 twinks could have these because I had a guild member run gnomeregan probably 40 times before he got all the gear he wanted on his twink mage

ps this farm is nothing. Our twink guild had a bunch of level 49 twinks farming for TWO https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=11118#dropped-by . That's right, gnomer is nothing compared to ulda. You guys think you have it hard, well think again

Checking out the armory of several lvl 24 twinks, it seems like these rings have been nerfed a bit. At least, the "...of the Monkey" version now only have 5 Agility + 5 Stamina, down from 6 Agility + 6 Stamina. The resistances are still 4 Arcane + 4 Nature.

UPDATE: Ran the dungeon myself the other day, and "...of the Bear" dropped. It only had +5 Strength and +5 Stamina, so the rings have definitely been nerfed a bit.

the charged gear of stamina gives 10 sta wich is = to stamina given by the EPIC ring deadmans hand.
Pre pach the best stam rings where 9sta and 8sta. now its 10 and 10 . the epic one is very hard to get i might add.

The charged gear of str is also 10str-a new ap best for wariors, pali, and druids as well
dont recall if shami's AP is str baced or not.

druids should go for of the tiger as 7str x2 +7agi x1 =21ap in cat form. wich is more ap (by 1 lol) and agi for crit to boot.

Yeah! Just finished Gnomeregan instance run, mob dropped Charged Gear of the Tiger (+6 agility and +7 strength), perfect for my 34 rogue. Everyone rolls, i won with an 87 :)

To clarify, the stats change depending on what the of part is. For example the +10 str one would be the Charged Gear of Strength.
Also there are the other common ones such as;
Tiger +agi/str
Monkey +sta/agi
bear +str/sta
boar +str/spr
owl +int/spr
and a few others I am not as familiar with. I believe they add around 6 or 7 to the respective stats.
When this site shows an item such as this, they only show the static stats. Not the ones that change depending on type.

can be used to tell the 'of regeneration' and 'of concentration' do not follow this rule. the rest do:
...of <stat or resist> = +10 <stat or resist>
...of <animal or such> = +7 of two stats

blues genrally are great for 20 levels before the greens start becoming questionable improvements.

due to the stats this one has, the NR one is def usable in RAQ/TAQ and the ones with 2 stats are something to hold onto if you're like my warlock. he has 'of the owl'

Can anyone confirm the "of Nature Resistance" actually drops in phase 5? I have over 300 kills and have yet to get any of the resistance variants.

For the 29 twinks:

Luckily managed to get my Charged Gear (of the Monkey) on the 2nd drop, +7, +7

Pretty sure this is BiS as I have Deadman's Hand on the other slot.

Other than this and DMH, Tundra Rings & Protector/Legionnaire Rings are next-best.
