Edit Patch 5.0 changed this (and likely all other Str Ranged weapons) to Agi, as only Hunters truly use Ranged weapons now. Below is my old comment, written when this was a Str weapon for DPS warriors.

Finally, a high-level ranged weapon with Strength that isn't a raid trash drop (thanks kingoomieiii) intended for warriors. The Expertise makes it even less attractive to hunters, though the raw DPS (and expertise reforged partially into something useful) of course would make it an ok weapon if you don't have an iLvl346 ranged weapon yet (likely alts) and since it's a quest reward, it's rather easy to acquire if you have a few friends dragging you through ZA ;)

Also, great style for troll hunters.

Although this *could* be used by a hunter the chances of this happening are fairly low as you need an average of ilevel 346 to queue in the first place.

It's good for all warriors unil the gun drops, but if you're having trouble hit capping as arms without reforging (or losing potential reforges to) crit then this is a winner.

I'm an MM hunter with Overpowered Chicken Splitter. The Voodoo Hunting Bow came up as a Q reward. So I took it.

I have just gone to the range and there is NO question. Do NOT consider this for your hunter if you have the Chicken Splitter or anything close.

I got about 13K with the Chicken Splitter, over 2 minutes single target attack on a raid target with pet out (Iron Jaw). I am hit capped at level 87 with both bows, but not at 88 with either. I got under 9K with the Voodoo Hunting Bow doing the same 2 minute drill. No question the Voodoo is 24K gold at the store & that's it.

Got this little sucker yesterday on my fury to replace my pvp weapon makes me happy to know blizz thought about us warriors and gave us a strength range that isn't hard as hell to get

According to femaledwarf, the DPS analyzer, this bow does more dps than any 346 bow/gun.
I have tested myself in game as well with same results. So I am quite confused why people are saying hunters should stick with their ilvl 346 bows/guns when this one gives us (hunters) more overall dps

today i retired my crossfire carbine on my smf warrior, i were so damn happy to find a weapon whitout mastery that i didnt care about the slightly lower expertice.

Not far from being completely mastery free now, and my white dmg rocks!=)

Just tested out as MM Hunter on the raid dummys in stormwind, my Dps dropped about 2.5-3k when i switched from Kickback 5000. not worth it for hunters unless your have a 333 item

I always said the one thing that was missing from Cata was the Rowan's Rifle debate.

As a dwarf hunter, this bow -- as cool as it looks -- is a substantial dps drop from Lightningflash or Kickback 5000 and it is not recommended for use. Mandokir's Tribute might also not be worthwhile if you're a dwarf, but I'm still crunching those numbers; it seems to be a slight dps increase from Lightningflash and a decrease from Kickback 5K, but I still need to run some more sims to say for sure.

I'm cautious about using this cause my current bow is the Amber Messanger heroic 346 version.

Seems like an upgrade with reforging but....ehhhh...

I have same weapon (Amber Messenger) and just got this from quest last night. While I haven't sold it yet, I also haven't put the scope on or tried it out. I'm hesitant. Also a BM hunter, so don't know if that helps or hurts.

I just wanted to point out- people keep saying 'Zomg anyone who says this is worse than iLevel 346 weapons is stupid', but Maxdps rates this weapon as worse than all 346 ranged items with the exception of Thundercall. I'm definitely interested in an upgrade for my hunter, but Maxdps hasn't steered me wrong yet.

Found out the answer: for hunters, Agility = Attack Power (as well as crit). Kickback AP is 12914 - or 922.4dps; this is 12626, 901.9 dps. I got 9K dps using this, and 12K from Kickback, on heroic dummy.

Edit: Second longer session of 1.09m on the Raider's training dummy showed 反衝5000 with 13.6K. and 11 and 12K with 2 runs of 1 min each on this one.

God I hate these weapons. It's really fun to have a ranged 359 dangled in front of your face only to realise it's meant for a class that doesn't use ranged weapons. Can't warriors just have their own special slot to leech stats from? *grumbles and runs ZG for 曼多基爾的貢品*

Guess I don't really have an excuse anymore. Better get off my bum and go get this bow. Replace my terrible lvl 308 crossbow. Should really help my average item lvl since besides my ranged, and 2 333's I only have 346+.

As a fury (or arms) warrior, is there really any reason to wait for this drop instead of picking up 巨人切割擲斧? It's only 700 VP which you can accumulate before even having the ilvl to run Zandalari Heroics if you're not particularly lucky with drops.

This is perfect as a transmog skin for troll hunters. Given that it's a quest drop, one need not feel bad for stealing a good warrior weapon, either. Highly recommended.

Love this bow. Since mop hit, hardly anybody bothers to do cata hcs, leveling people usually dont even get a chance to enter due to item level before they move to Pandaria and hit 86 when they can no longer line up for them (or maybe they can, i saw one 87 in zul aman, but i dunno how the guy managed to get in). I was waiting almost 2 hours with my hunter in the queue, and another 2 hours we were doing the dungeon itself. Dont regret a single minute for this baby :).

One thing that bugs me tho. Its not seen on photos, but those eyes glow green and leave a blazing trail when the bow is being moved. Really annoying during flying with this on my back.

Of course, I sold mine too; and the Mandokir's Tribute. Sure would like to have them back for transmogs.. Item restoration does not list them, and it's apparently because I have server changed - or just the long amount of time. Below is a support quote:

"What if an item I want restored isn’t appearing on the list?
If a sold, destroyed, or disenchanted item does not appear on the list, it is not available for restoration.
