This has had its swing speed reduced to 1.7 seconds on Feb 8th. Before this, it was a very slow swinging dagger, and a slow caster weapon, making it excellent for sub rogues and enhance shaman.

If you see people suggesting melee uses for caster weapons, it's advisable to look things up before you downrate potentially valid information.
