Almost all weapons dropped by the Lich King make reference to Arthas Menethil in his path of destruction before becoming the Lich King.

This axe makes reference to Arthas' royal lineage itself, being him the next King of Lordaeron, the weapon just passed to him. Thou Arthas never really became King of Lordaeron, he probably kept the blade.

It looks to me (at least from the MMO Champion screenshot) that it shares a model with Scourgeborne Waraxe.

I actually consider this a positive, as it means my rogue will be able to dual wield axes that sheath on the back :)

I'm pretty sure Shadow's Edge is the only thing that looks like Shadow's Edge.

I'm also pretty sure our good buddies at Wowhead include a caveat that says something like: This item hasn't been seen on live servers yet, so some data may be missing!

Let's try to at least make sure when ranting that we are ranting about an actual problem. :)

So thats the end of shamans DWing a legendary lookalike it seems...

This item is the best in slot main hand for every class that uses slow one handed weapons.
So;
Combat Rogues
Enhancement Shamans
Frost Death Knights
will all be rolling on this weapon.
If there are none in the raid, it would serve some use as an extremely good hunter stat stick or as a tank threat weapon.

Blizzard wasn't really orignal with the 1h axes this patch.
The look itself isn't that bad but there are only 2/3 diferent colours, and even the colours look just like each other. So it isn't really that noticable that you're wearing this because it's almost the same as this or this. And those two (this or this) aren't really that rare (anymore), you can even say that they have become sort of 'well fare' gear for rogues/sham/dk.

So shame on u blizz... shame on u... (again)
