As a warrior tank, I want to know which of these is better for stat-avoidance; the or these.

The difference being:

Taking over :

-33 Armor
-6 Defense
-15 Parry
-47 Dodge
-10 Strength
-16 Stamina
+140 SBV

Taking over :

+33 Armor
+6 Defense
+15 Parry
+47 Dodge
+10 Strength
+16 Stamina
-140 SBV

So would taking 140 SBV over a variety of stats be good whatsoever? Or should just drop less block-damage reduction for more dodge?

Drops, but rather rare drop it is.

Like You I farm it few days, day by day and when feet drops some dps steal it :/ (crossrealm dungeon = master looter).

I know wowhead doesn't like such comments but guys - don't give up on these. They have (at least for me) ridiculously low drop rate - I got them on my 20th kill (first time they've dropped for me). It was quite frustrating to queue up for this specific dungeon every day for ~20 days straight. Funnily enough - I've seen a Battered Hilt drop on my 1st run to FoS (didn't win it but doesn't matter here).

As long as you're not socket-humping, Spiked Deathdealers deliver 29 more stam (two solid majestic zircon slotted for +60 stam) than these. I got these on a roll this morning and while it delivers +10 def, +3 dodge, and +10 parry, I'm not convinced at all that makes up for the effective loss of 29 stam.

Spiked Deathdealers:
103 stam base
+22 enchant
+60 gem

185 stam total

Black Spire Sabatons
134 stam base
+ 22 enchant

156 stam total

If you're purely going for avoidance, you'll get more out of the Sabatons, but if you're looking for EH, the sockets on SDD are better.

Just had theese drop for me on my prot warr. Tho the retarded healing paladin decided he needed em more.
Since the cross realm dungeon ninjaing have gone up alot.

If u want a tanking item, then TANK the instance. Or wait untill the tank ure running with, don't need it

Hope they in the future make it, so it will look at the talents of ppl, and then deciding who can need and who can't.

I agree completely. The only reason I tank this instance nowadays is so I feel justified rolling need on these boots. Too many times I lost out on Peacekeeper Blade, even to people just grabbing it so they had a "vibrator" they could equip.

hmm, i've been trying to get these boots for my dk for tanking..
done the instance 31th times now, never dropped
according to the wowhead drop rate 14% and some chancemaths i got
100%-(0.84^31 * 100%) = 99.07% chance my boots dropped by now...
anyone knows if the drop rate has been reduced?

Not once have these boots dropped for me at all. Ive ran this place 23 times for em and its the only piece that i dont have that is item lvl 232 or higher! Its making me mad running this every day and never dropping!

Rly, they are probably removed from the game. I'm on the side of above posters, who tank PoSH just to get them. As a DK, they have awesome itemization for me, and are much better than 40 emblem waste for Kyzoc's. Another pair of boots drops every 2-4th run. Maybe in case of 1-2 people it could've been called "bad luck, grind more nab", but looking at previous posts it definetly seems like these boots have bugged drop or something.

Edit: got a proof from a person who has them that they still drop in 3.3.5 .

After over 60 FoS dungeon runs as tank, I just got these to drop. I am guessing the drop rate is very low on this item. Slight upgrade for me so I am happy.

After more than 1 week of grinding this item for my tank they finally dropped today, and guess what our paladin healer took them saying that he needed them more than me, seriously I have Sabatoms of Erekem how can the Holy/Ret Paladin need them more than me :/... God...
