It seems to me that this is a very controversial cape, since out of a multitude of comments, only 3 have been left standing and they are not really that useful. I imagine that most of the down rating has come from a feeling of disdain from those who have lost rolls on the item.

For me , the cloak was an upgrade from Ice Striker's Cloak (giving me +35 agility, +37 armor pen & +41 hit at the expense of some stamina and haste), so I proceeded to "need" it, only to get repeatedly /spit on by a warrior in my group, who had equipped a cloak of the same caliber. I don't think that he would have disbanded so quickly if he knew that I would have gladly given it to him if he was that upset about it. It's not that hard to get in a few runs every day to try for it, like I have been for the past few weeks.

The cloak seems to be good for everyone, whether Hunter, Rogue, Warrior or other. So let's all keep it copacetic, and don't @#$%^ if you didn't get it and don't brag if you did.

If you want something, it will come to you. And how boring would life be if everything was easy?

if you are a ret paladin/deathknight/warrior please do not roll on this unless there is no hunter, rogue, enhance shaman, feral druid. agility is bad for you compared to strength.

Exaclty, no need to get bent out of shape over a 5 man drop that can be farmed. An upgrade is an upgrade, there's no reason he should have been that upset unless he just had a tough day in school-- maybe he missed nap time. Anyways wouldn't the cape out of Halls of Reflection be better for a warrior in the first place?

This cloak is in fact superior to Tapestry for many warriors :).

At around 50% ArP, which is easy to do for an arms warrior because they have a passive 10% ArP (and an additional passive 6% ArP if they're wearing 2p t9), 1 ArP rating becomes superior to 1 Strength (which is equivalent to 2.2 AP with Kings).

Arms warriors have a crit softcap at 50%, which is easy to reach - mine is 40% unbuffed, so between Kings, Horn of Winter and Leader of the Pack, I'm almost capped. So when you compare the two capes for an arms warrior who's at the soft crit cap, what you have is:

ACC:
37 ArP rating (Better than 81 AP)
Some crit from agi but it doesn't really matter too much, you're past the softcap anyway

TFT:
64 AP after Kings
Some crit from crit rating but it doesn't really matter too much, you're past the softcap anyway
4 hit rating

We know very well that agi doesn't do much for us. But ArP is god to a warrior, and it is what makes this cloak superior to Tapestry for us. (Fury warriors too, though it's harder for them to reach the point where it's better than Strength because they don't have those passive ArP buffs.)

I have no idea what's wrong with this cape, it just won't drop, in total I have probably done this instance at least 50 times and I haven't seen it drop yet, its just horrible! increase its drop-rate blizz!

Was it wrong of me, as a newly 80 kitty/bear wearing Screeching Cape, to not give this to the prot pally who was wearing Ice Striker's Cloak? He begged me for it after I won the need roll, wanted to pay me 90g for it (cross-server, so that wouldn't have worked...), opened a trade window and waited....

I am a new player and so I suppose I'm not aware of all the nuances of rolling on loot, but it seemed pretty clearly better for me than for him in this case. I hope all my gearing up isn't as dramatic.

This is a fantastic (BiS pre-raid) cloak for Rogues, whether you're Combat or Mutilate (though Combat benefits more from ArPen than the latter).

Since it drops in FoS /normal/, it's also quite farmable. Only complaint I have about it is the length (or lack thereof) :/

I have been doing 10 runs a day on my Druid for 2 weeks now and I have yet to see this bloody thing drop once. Is it still on the loot table for N FoS?

This cape just won't drop for me, I've been running FoS 2-3 times per day on my rogue since I dinged 80 a week ago and I haven't seen it drop yet ;S

Just finished farming this on my rogue and all I can say is it can be extremely rare.

It first dropped on my very first run of FoS and I lost the roll... Just checked my armory activity there and it took another 23 runs before it dropped again! Luckily no one rolled against me the next time or I might have /facekeyboard'd

If you want this cape you might be in for a long haul!

11th try now for this nice cloak, and didn't even see it.
10% drop rate, expect alot of FoS grinding. I'm glad I have dual spec on my druid so I can roll as healer for faster ques.

(one of the best pre-raid cloaks I can find for kitty form)

yeah i have done a couple runs and have not seen it once drop ....

i am sick of a healers , and tanks needing for off speck . if i am on my d k as a dps and need on a tank item and i dont ask first i get thrown out of the group . i want this for my hunter i am a damage dealer . these are stats i want . just like a rogue i gain more from it than other classes . heck just its agility is quite a nice amount compared to other capes . the only time you should need for off speck is when no one wants it period . it has happened to me a few times now on other items , mostly to tree druids . if you went in as a cat fine but you didn't .

second if i was on my d k i would not need on this there are better capes for him in heroics and i got 1 of them . what is your main stack as a d k and what does this cape have none of ? hunters and rogues do not have a lot of choices when it comes to capes . i wouldn't mind loosing to a rogue , but a death knight what .... and you call us huntards lol

hvymetalmachine - that warrior was a idiot/jerk of course you where gonna need on it . i am in the same cape you where . this is like our only option for a while a nice upgrade . he has a bunch of choices in heroics which we don't . so what it has a little armor pen , guess what we like that stat too . . .
