A decent item, and a definite upgrade from T7.5, but this could cause some issues in relation to hit cap. In particular, the chestpiece of T8 or 8.5 has much more hit that T7.5, and worse, neither T7 gloves nor shoulders have hit on them, but the T8 pieces do. Also, none of the pieces missing hit rating in T8 had it in T7, so there's no reduction in hit rating there. In other words, a hunter who was hit-capped pre-Ulduar will have some juggling to do in order to remain so (and not go hideously over cap). This could be made much worse with the addition of one of the ulduar hit rating trinkets (in particular Pyrite Infuser), as even having the full T8.5 and that trinket puts us at 238 hit... just barely under hit cap, and actually already 8 over if you play a draenai hunter.

First of all, neither of those two posts said anything about wearing leather.

Secondly, people wear leather gear to cap hit when they aren't lucky enough to get mail gear drops that have +hit on them. It doesn't screw over your dps that much. The main difference is that you lose int. Int adds AP and mana, but is less important than hit rating.

How would these compare to the badge gloves, Gloves of Unerring Aim? The problem on how Ulduar gear is itemized is that they overbudget for Hit Rating, and since I don't need Hit, I'm thinking it might be worth it to spend the Conquest badges for the badge gloves.

Any expert Hunters with insight?
