After some very brief testing fairly confident it is on a 45sec internal CD like most trinkets in wrath.

I can confirm the 522 haste instead of spell power. This however makes it inferior to Dying curse, at least to mages. Haste is inferior to spell power for both fireball and arcane. Even in the arcane builds where you stack haste, the hit cap can be as low as 8% so the 108 hit is practically wasted. In the fireball spec that requires 14% hit, haste is valued much less than spell power and even less than crit. Overall, I dont see myself using this in Ulduar unless I find some build with gear completely devoid of hit.

If you check on the updated versions on mmo-champion it now has Living Flames hit rating at 3.26% - it was just a glitch before i'd say

This ilvl 219 item procing 522 haste makes it definitely worse than Dying Curse (ilvl 213), and possibly worse than Sundial of the Exiled(ilvl200) and Embrace of the Spider(ilvl200). Unless you're in desperate need of hit (which is rare because Uld gear has so much hit on it), this trinket is lackluster compared to the other trinks that drop in Ulduar.

With the change in name from 522 Spell Power to 522 Haste rating, does anybody know if this item would be useful for ret paladins or perhaps enhancement shaman? I got it tonight on live because the spriest mage and warlock didn't want it so I thought I'd test it out on my ret pally. Haven't quite figured out if it's useful or not yet.

I would definitely take this for my warlock. Granted, I don't have dying curse yet so I can't say whether I would trade one for the other, but you do have TWO trinket slots. Haste is nearly as good for a warlock as spell power.

really, i would not use this trinket unless my hit rating was in the %^&*hole. the haste increase is really... silly. ... as an affliction lock i'd still rather the +700 spellpower boost from dying curse... idk this trinket is really disappointing. =/ i hope blizz does something with it. yuck

Well, the static hit on this trinket is great for an enhance shaman. Needing 368 hit, you shouldn't have any problem fitting this in without going over the hit cap. Even if it does, hit over the "cap" still improves your white damage, flametongue damage, statick shock damage, and MSW procs. Hit isn't worth stacking past 368, but it isn't useless.

Haste is an interesting stat for shamans. It seems to go up and down repeatedly as you collect more of it. Overall, it is almost always worth more than a stat like Armor Pen (on Grim Toll).

The problem is getting it to proc. Very brief testing has shown me getting a repeat proc ~60-90 seconds after the effect wears off. The problem being that we don't cast as many harmful spells as true spell casters.

However, if you would like to test for yourself, you should get the opportunity. I ran Ulda10 with a Boomkin, Mage, and Lock. I rolled greed on this trinket since I wasn't positive it was good for enhance, so it felt more like an "offspec" item. All of the casters passed because they had better from the T7 content.

better than dying curse...
so if you are a Destruction warlock and have Dying curse and this, you won't ever need to change trinkets...

one thing i would point out.
with this trinket, I became over hit capped. quite sertiously over, so I had to rejem 6 hit gem into +19sp gems.
6x19 = 114 and a presision enchant on my gloves to a +30sp
so, not only did i gain hit and a haste proc, I gained a passive 144 spellpower.

chances are you will be able to gem/enchant for other stuff with this trinket.

although, either the proc rate seems lower or the internal CD is longer than either dying curse or sundial of the exiled.

Do poison procs count as a spell for this trinket? Or no. Because if so rogues enjoy lots of hit rating :) And haste is nice for Combat potency

OK to cut through all the "this is better/worse than X, Y, Z"...

(1) if you're melee, I wouldn't take this, Hit and Haste aren't stats which are great for you (2) if you're >108 off the Hit cap, you need Hit - and 108 is a whole lot of Hit, and (3) know your own class well enough to know if Haste is a strong stat for you. If you don't know, check Elitist Jerks (or similar). Of course there are better trinkets out there - but my non-Hit capped Destro Warlock is making damn good use of this, so it's a "good" trinket for her - full stop.

Boomkins should go crazy for this trinket. Not only does haste do a poop load for us, but 108 hit is very high for a single piece of gear.
Also note that if you are a Boomkin and you want this item, you will have to fight for it. I am still fighting for it, having lost several times :(

tested on target dummy with sundial for about 10 minutes and seems to be on the same cd, which is rather annoying
