According to Eyonix, seen here http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=10043252440&sid=1 , There will be an honor reset with the expansion this time around. He said in the next content patch there will be some items to spend your honor as to not lose it all for nothing.

You can buy this item from Horde or Alliance for 35,000 Honor points and 40 Alterac Valley Mark of Honor.

I love this trinket. I'm a hunter and my friend is a rogue and I will make sure we both get one for our 2's arena team.

Are you leveling 70 melee who likes to PvP? save up some honor, and this is one of the best non-profession trinkets til 80.
