anyone know what happened to the recipes for this that are not trainer-taught? can't find 'em... at one point on PTR i saw a bunch of JC designs purchasable w/honor from the champions hall in SW but once i got onto beta i was unable to find that vendor (not sure if it still exists on PTR, haven't gone back to check).

Ever wondered if you could make those uncommon quality gems, that are leftovers from the tons of ores you prospect useful? I guess this post will not be so well respected by the people who already know how you can make big profit from those gems, but everyone should have the right to know it.

Requirements:
Professions:
Jewel crafting: (which is logic of course because that’s where you get the gems from)

Enchanting: it is a must to have a char with enchanting, or a friend with plenty of time, I myself have made a DK (level 58) and gave it enchanting. Level 350 enchanting is enough to disenchant all boe drops (except epics, which you don’t want to DE but sell on the AH). If you don’t have an enchanter yet, and want to power level enchanting till 350, have a budged of around 2k gold ready.

Items:
Eternal earth’s: you need 1 Ee/ 5 gems you are processing, so 2 crystallized earths each gem is needed.
Bloodstone (s)
Sun crystal (s)
Huge citrine (s)
Chalcedony (s)

Getting started:
What we will be making are green items which we can later disenchant for dust, essences and shards.
1 bloodstone + 2 crystallized earths make a bloodstone band (https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=42336)
1 Sun Crystal + 2 crystallized earths make a Sun rock ring (https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=42337)
1 Huge citrine + 2 crystallized earths make a crystal citrine necklace (https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=43244)
1 Chalcedony + 2 crystallized earths make a crystal chalcedony necklace (https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=43245)
These items have a 5 second cast timer to create.

Now, how can we turn this items into a money making factory, well here are some math’s:
Each greeny that you have created has a 75% of dropping 1 or 2 infinite dusts, with a 50% chance to have either 1 or 2, so on average you will have 75% chance of getting 1.5 infinite dust each greeny you disenchant. You will have 20% chance of receiving 1.5 Lesser Cosmic essence, and a 5% chance of receiving 1 small dream shard.
The following statistics are theoretically true if you disenchant 100 items:

You will gain 5 small dream shards, 3 SDS’s can be forged in to a Dream shard which are worth 17g on my server. That brings the total wealth of the SDS’s on 28.3g

You will gain 37.5 Lesser Cosmic essences, which can be forged into Greater Cosmic essences (3:1), GCE’s cost 15g each on my sever that brings the wealth to 187.5g

You will gain 112.5 infinite dusts, on my server these are worth 4.5g each which bring it to a total of 506.25g

All prices together will sum up to the total of 722.3g, so the total wealth per item is 7.22g

I normally wait with buying eternal earths till they are 7.5g each or less, and since they can be turned into 10 crystallized earths, and 2 CE’s are needed each greeny, the total investment I need to make per greeny is 1.5g. since the gems I use are pure leftovers from prospecting, I don’t count them as investments I must make. So this leaves a total profit of 5.72g/ gem you have. Since I prospect at least 150 stacks of saronite ore each week, that is a lot of extra profit I make.
