The reason hes complaining and the reason why I would be is obvious. Top end raiders are gonna go through the same BS they went through in BC. Alot of hard work to get the top end gear only to be replaced by friggin greens and blues. Im guessin you dont raid which is why you would like it. And what really gets me is I thought blizz wasnt gonna do that this go around.

This is WLK, not TBC. Gear gets replaced by gear, which will in turn get replaced. Did anyone ever tell you, "See, kill this boss and obtain an item you know will be replaced"?

Blizzard themselves has stated that they want people to replace their gear. E ven the pre-tbc legendaries, such as Atiesh or Thunderfury, got replaced in the end. Besides, you raid ( Or well, most people do ) in the knowledge that the gear you obtain will not last you forever. I don't see why you don't like the fact that you have to replace yóur gear - After all, would you REALLY want to face Ner'zhul wearing 10-level-outdated purples?

Besides.. Don't flame the above guy because "he doesn't raid". Raiders don't own WoW - It's a game, you play it for fun, and YOU Choose how to play it. It's not like "raiders are kings". I raid for fun, not because I like to look down on the "lesser" players who are not totally decked out in badge epics or BT gear.

This might be a stupid question but I'm thinking about switching to a Mutilate build (I don't want to discuss the merits of that choice) but is it possible to dual wield these if I were to run the instance enough to get two to drop?

Last night a hunter needed this dagger and won over a rogue. As a hunter myself, i just wanna point out that, yes, this is a decent hunter weapon if you can combine it with Glacier Sharpened Vileblade that you can obtain in the Nexus.
BUT, the Tidebreaker Trident is still better for a hunter than the 2 daggers listed above and you can get it easily for 50 clams (less than 20 minutes of farming in the murloc zone in Borean Tundra).
SO, please take 5 minutes to download an item comparison addon before needing something over someone that might really need an item for a gear upgrade.

Given the lack of crit, ap, haste and other dps goodies, I daresay, as an aspiring bear druid, I would find and murder anyone who rolled against me.

Besides being a good rogue/hunter dps weapon, this also doubles as the best non-epic Warrior tanking weapon from 72-73. Replaced at 74 from Ragemane's Flipper quest.

*edit: The above was true before the heroic strike change giving it a cd, when fast tanking weapons were better for threat given the same dps. This was also when agility gave dodge and armor for warriors. Now none of those are the case and I imagine the heirloom is better until Ragemane's Flipper Quest.

Because rogues, who would likely get the most out of this weapon, definitely have to chuck their old dagger when they find a better one. I mean, it's not like they dual wield or anything, that's just silly.
