Compared to Bladed Shoulderpads of the Merciless with 2 x +8 hit gems (which gives them 32 Hit Rating), these have:

+39 Attack Power
-0.57 Hit Chance (-9 Hit Rating)
-0.075 Crit Chance (ya rly, lol math ftw)
(and then +2 sta and +23 AC)

So in the end, it's up to your current values and chances of getting other gear in the near future.

On a personal note, I am currently looking forward to getting these to mix and match with other gear (got Bladed Shoulderpads of the Merciless).

People, please... don't fall victim to the SACRIFICE EVERYTHING FOR HIT! mantra that some rogues have in their heads. An upgrade is an upgrade. This belief comes from the rogue forums where most posters took theory craft, turn it into a personal affair, and then judge people based on the amount of hit they have.

An easy comparison is, the kara shoulders have an item level of 115. These have 125. They have much more stat value, and you gain more if anything from the pure agi rather then "ratings" stats.

You also can't really look at one item by itself. You need to know what you need to help upgrade you as a whole. That's why spreadsheets are important. It helps you determine if that one piece of gear is an upgrade.

In this case, I believe these are a nice upgrade over the chess event ones. No more hit is the only stats rogues have drabble, please

This is a pretty big upgrade over T4 rogue shoulders assuming you've socketed them with +8 hit. If you're going to lose the 2-pc, it's probably not an upgrade, but you should double check by running it through your spreadsheet first. I'm not sure on the AEP value of the 4-pc, but since it doesn't stack with Ruthlessness it's probably still an upgrade.

This and merciless gladiators spaulders are pretty much on par. (when gemmed correctly)

More stam and crit on merciless gladiators. No haste.

Little more AP and 23 haste on these. But obviously no sockets.

I had already shoulder enchanted my merciless gladiator spaulders with the +26 AP enchant from aldor holy dust, but it's still pretty close.

gimpy? for wanting lots of HR? no. 900dps on bosses and loving all the hit you can get. combat rogues need lots of hit. you dont hit you do no damage, you dont regen energy, you do fewer special moves. agility, AP ect can be made up for with the right enchants. i sit at 265 HR and 1800 AP, almost no gems other then HR or HR/agility with only a few so my meta works that i would not want. if your assassination or sub you dont need as much hit but a combat rogue needs alot to hit with there off-hand and get the energy regen

These things are amazing. I know of a rogue who replaced his t5's with these. I only replaced some blue shoulders i had so i didn't need to think twice =)
