These are kinda the best dps cloth shoulders as reward from quests. Even in 5men instances you will hardly find something better.

I may not be as experienced as most of the people looking at these items, but it seems like this is a great piece of armor for any cloth wearer. I think restro Druids, Shamans and maybe even a pally would get some decent use out of this item. I am defiantly going to get this for my Tauren Druid and Draenei Priest

Not sure I agree with any of the comments on here. I already have Mantle of Magical Might which was much easier to get and obtained about 5-10 levels prior to this mantle. I've compared them, and this one does not win. So once equipped I get +18 spell dmg and a little armor? But I lose health and a ton of mana, even my crit chance goes down because of the lack of +int. Not worth it.

post 2.4 Warlocks may prefer https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=35331 with a couple of cheap Runed Blood Garnets thrown in giving better stats, equal dmg and some spell hit.

From the first quest "The Hand of Gul'dan" to "The Cipher of Damnation - Borak's Charge" it took about 2 hours. The quest "The Cipher of Damnation - Borak's Charge" requires a group to kill "Ruul The Darkener" level 71 elite dragon. There are also elite dragons floating in the air so it's hard to solo quest if you get aggro from them aswell. I got the quest 04:00 AM so i couldn't find any people that could help me out, so instead i did it durring day time.

This is the reward starting from a long quest line in Shadowmoon Valley.

With a nice group you can do it on an evening with no prob.

Actually looks pretty awesome paired with Will of Edward the Odd. I haven't found very many shoulders to be much better than these outside raids. I've seen a lot of people with Mantle of Three Terrors though.

This quest also once completed, gives you the three quests for the Tempest Key.

I had Mantle of Three Terrors and upgraded to these simply because of the damage and crit. The stats on Three Terrors are nicer, but the dmg and crit for me are irreplacable.

Oh, and I'm the only person on my server I've seen with these, probably because the quest is a pain. However, they look exactly like Frozen Shadoweave, so you never know...
