Belt from vashj is better than this: Assuming you use 4agi+6sta on blue and 8agi on red sockets it end ups:
Belt of One-Hundred Deaths: 44agi, 31sta, 74ap, 25weap skill
Belt of Deep Shadow: 43agi, 26sta, 66ap, 18hit rating

So Vashj one is +1agi +5sta +8ap and then its 25weap skill vs 18hit rating to compare.

Since 3.9weap skill rating give one weap skill BoOHD gives 6.4skill

Each skill rating increases chance to hit and critically hit by 0.04%
Also decreases mob's chance to parry and dodge by 0.04% each

So this belt gives you 0.26% chance to hit and crit (equal to about 4hit rating and 5.5crit rating)
Also decreases mob's chance to dodge by 0.26% (leaving out parry assuming that you position yourself behind the mob) which can be "translated" to about 6.5hit rating since it results on landing more white, but ability dmg as well.

So total gained from this weapon skill is about 11hit rating and 5crit rating

So by using this sort of method to make things equal: its +1agi +5sta +8ap +5crit rating - 7hit rating, which makes BoOHD stilty better.

This belt isn't gonna be easy to obtain, you need to nether vortexes which only drop in 25-man raid instances, and if your lucky enough to find someone who craft it, it probably isnt gonna be cheap.

Looks like a darker version of Gronn-Stitched Girdle (https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=28828). The pattern seem to drop from most trash and bosses in both Serpentshrine and Tempest Keep: The Eye. Most raiding rogues will probably get this belt. 2x Nether Vortex is no problem to get after 2.1.0 with greatly increased droprate from trash. Killing Vashj or Kael garantee you 2x for this belt.

Mats are quite cheap. Already started getting the mats myself after the pattern dropped for my guild yesterday in SSC.

I wouldnt call this the best feral belt.
The only thing which makes it interesting for a kitty, is the +hit.
Belt of Natural Power (https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=30042) beats this one even in socket-colors for DPS. Ontop best tanking belt too = 1 freed up inventory space.

Not a bad belt for a feral tank looking for some hit. Obviously the belt of natural power is better for straight tanking, but this isn't a bad option. Stick 2 Solids in there and you lose 1 stam, and some dodge. Int too, but hey, who uses mana for tanking?
IMO anyway, anyone else agree/disagree?

Since youre talking about armor cap I assume youre comparing this belt to for example the Belt of Natural Power (https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=30042) which is a belt of approximately the same material costs. By comparison, while giving up BoNP for BoDS and socketing with equally expensive gems to match the color sockets, you would gain/lose the following;

- 196 armor (215,6 armor with 3/3 thick hide, 862,4 armor in bear)
+ 10 agi
-16 sta (19,2 sta with 5/5 HoTW, 240 hp in bear)
+8 AP in bear
- 3,6 AP in cat with 5/5 HoTW
-12 int (14,4 with 5/5 HoTW)
+18 hit rating

This is assuming youd socket with the following gems;
Belt of Natural Power with 2x Shifting Nightseye (https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=24055)
Belt of Deep Shadow with 2x Solid Star of Elune (https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=24033)

Ive personally never found hit rating useful while tanking in bear as Ive never had a problem holding threat basically without any hit rating at all - but it is a personal matter.
This belt would also give you slightly more dodge, which is good in 10 man raids or smaller instances where damage mitigation is a more valuable stat because the content is usually mellow enough to not require excessive healing on the tank at all times. The question is just if this belt offers more damage mitigation overall. If youve reached your armor cap, then this belt indeed offers more damage mitigation than the BoNP. However, while reaching the armor cap at 32k~ armor against level 70 mobs is doable while still doing 10 man raids, pushing it up to the 36k~ or so needed against level 72-73 mobs is hard, and someone who has managed to probably doesnt have budget room to switch out a high armor belt for this one. If, however, youve managed to reach the armor cap while still doing 10 man raids and can afford switching this belt out, by all means, go for the extra dodge. It will give you slightly more damage mitigation in 10 man raids.
While comparing it to BoNP in 25 man raids however, youd have to consider not only the loss of armor but also the loss of hp - which usually is a more valuable tanking stat than damage mitigation is under those circumstances.
If you want to sacrifice stamina and armor for a nudge of extra dodge, feel free to get this belt instead of something else. It seems highly situational though and isnt something I would spend 3000g on personally.

One of the best survival spec hunter belts available.

Even with two delicate living rubies this belt equates to over 50 agility. (Lightning Reflexes adds 15% agility)

Not a bad investment at all if your guild is progressing through SSC/TK

If you know you're not going to be getting to the 25 mans any time soon, what'd be the best option for a rogue:
1. keep waiting for the belt to drop from chess event
2. see if you can get groups for heroic BM and cross your fingers
3. PVP until you can afford the vets belt
4. Gather mats for this
5. Hope 2.3 hits and ZA has something good off the lower bosses drops for you before you go nuts

This belt continues to be the best, imho, until you can reach t6 belt on 2.4. The stats are fairly better for pve rogue. You get crit and other nasty stats from your raiding partners, but the hit is the best you can get from it.

It's pretty stupid cos belt which matches with T5 from pattern isn't BoP after create so it can be sold but 絕對黑暗之靴 which also matches with T5 is also from pattern but after create it's BoP so it can not be sold. I wanted to use it for transmogrification. Ufortunately I have to get those ones from Lurker -.-

Bougth this one on Frostwhsiper EU for 1950g which I think is a totally acceptable price considering that its the 4th best belt in the entire game. Sure I would rather have the one from Lady Vashj, but:
a) It has a sh*tty droprate (11%)
b) 25 man guilds have many rogues
c) I would rather spend my DKP on the SSC chest item or the T5 chest

I had my belt crafted for my rogue last week, I also took the time to submit a screen shot for everyone wondering what it looks like.

As far as prices go, I'm sure I could have sold this belt for @ least 3K gold if not more. I had the mats on me (minux the 2 vortex's) and I must say that for the stats, the mats are VERY easy! They are so easy compared to my Vengeance Wrap or other epic crafted items.

In the end I payed 750g per nether or 1500g total for the nethers and the crafting was free (tip of course).

My guild is getting close to raiding SSC however the epic belt found off Lady Vash is no where as good as this item. :) Not even the heroic belt from Black Morass or the elemental leatherworking belt can touch it!

I'll be holding onto this belt for quite some time

Got one of thesr crafted on my realm last night... paid a guy in the top raiding guild 1.2k each per vortex and supplied the mats ofc. Then whacked in 2x Glinting Noble Topaz.... works a treat.

Well worth farming the money to buy this as my guild have only recently entered SSC/TK and I can't wait for the pattern to drop ^_^

Just remember that if you can farm 5k for an epic flyer, then another 3k won't hurt! :P

I bought this off a very nice LWer in a different guild than I. 1500g plus mats, which I had already farmed. Quite worth it, I'd say. I put 2 +8 hit Rigid Dawnstones in the sockets for the time being, until I can bring my hit up through different means. Then I'll switch to agi/sta gems. Definitely noticed an increase in DPS with it :)

BTW, in terms of its maximum DPS output, this is the 4th best belt in the game. Any good players that actually did the math would know that the best belt in the game for rogues is the belt of one-hundred deaths from vashj.

Patch 2.4 made players able to get nether vortexes from heroic badge turn-ins, so you could get one of these extremely cheaply if you farm the primals.

I love reading all the idiots flame others. Often the flamer misses the point.

But really, this is a decent belt for a survival hunter. If you are trying to give your raid the most from the expose weakness talent.
It can be hard to stack agility above 1000 without giving up other needs. One of those needs is to have a High Crit, maybe 38% or higher. Get those two and guess what? Your to hit really suffers because its hard to find gear which will give you all three. And now your wearing leather. Kind of like a holy pally wearing a dress for the plus heals. Eventually though, pallies do get back to plate with better plus heals. This belt is the top agility belt in game.

Hunter tier gear is generic. We do not have someone in blizz babying our class. Druids, for example, get customized gear for different specs. What is it, three different sets in each tier to choose from? Someone is certainly favored. Yes I have a druid also.

Hunters get one set per tier. Since each spec does not get it's own set per tier, hunters have to mix and match alot. I believe even warriors have it easier when it comes time to get the best for their choosen spec. Mine is a tank.

How I use this Belt:
In five mans my personal dps counts more than buffing the other 2 dps. Belt of Deep Shadow stays in bag.
In 10 man it depends on the fight. Bosses, I put it on most times. Trash never, its in the bag.
In 25 mans, I wear it all the time.

ps
If it was a drop I would pass if a rogue wanted it.
