Drops from Nightbane, as the name of the item might reveal, the last and hardest boss in Karazhan.
It's very similar in stats to the two lamp-offhands that drops in Arcatraz and The Black Morass but this one is superior than both.
The only reason the other two are higher item level is cause stats costs more on blue items than they cost on epic.

The fire seen on the screenshot is only up every 2 seconds, it's animated and looks quite nice. Probably gets tiresome in the end but luckily you must draw your weapons to show it.

I'm curious- The Lamp of Peaceful Radiance (https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=28412) sacrifices 2 spell hit rating, 2 damage and a small handful of stats in exchange for 13 crit rating.

I could see you calling this off hand an upgrade for say, pure Affliction Warlocks, but not for anything else. Is that the standpoint you're coming from? Otherwise, LoPR is a pretty clear upgrade to this.

I want this to go with a Neth Mindblade. It isnt a huge upgrade from the rare Nethermancer off-hand, but at least this looks better.

But Blizzard is updating the kara epics so who knows, it could get upgraded again.

The stats aren't incredibly impressive, but this thing is about the coolest looking offhand out there, for sure.

Stats wise it's not as good as the Jewel of Infinite Possibilites off of Netherspite unless you're hit caped. The epic off-hands from Badges of Justice are also comparable. All in all a solid off-hand but nothing too impressive.

One of the best looking transmog off-hands in the game, IMO (along with the Talisman of Kalecgos (卡雷苟斯咒符), which is purchasable from G'eras (吉爾拉斯) in Shattrath for just 130 JP). The "flamethrower" effect of this off-hand is just fantastic looking (use the "view in 3D" option to see for yourself). Completely worth going through the attunement (not a very difficult chain at all for a level 85 or two, just have to dungeon hop a bit, starting with the quest 麥迪文的日記) to be able to summon Nightbane inside Karazhan.

It's a Dragon Flamethrower off-hand! How cool is that?

Okay I received http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?source=live;witem=28187 (Star-Heart Lamp) the other day. That item has an item level of 112 compared to this items level of 100. This one is superior (if only slightly) in every way. Why would the other item have a higher item level?

https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=59110/卡茲莫丹披肩 is 100x easier / quicker to get with any decent 5 man to get and almost the same stats. This is a horrible epic from a main epic boss.

And yeah not to mention some pre-bs are better than both.

Star-Heart Lamp is better for affliction locks imo. You lose 2 Stamina and 1 Intellect and 1 Spell Damage by not rolling for this, but you lose 12 Spell Hit Rating (1% chance to hit with spells) by picking this up. Crit doesn't help afflictions locks, spell hit does, I would keep the lamp as an aff lock personally. But to each their own...

Although this does look pretty pimp, I will admit.

Drops is Kharazan, only the elite or epic will get it, hence just being in a guild with enough coordination and people, PERHAPS decent gear to go along with it.

Indeed, my shadow priest looted this for RP.... ^_^ Became useful when my guild imposed a 8.3kHP 9kMP unbuffed for Hyjal/BT fights though. The int on it helped me to get to 9k MP (as opposed to the orb, which has no int).

February 19th, 2023 - OLD Karaazhan - NightBane - Rare hidden summon- Kill the first 5 bosses. That will bring you to the halfway point that was marked by Shadowlands Karazan dungeon. Go to the Master Terrace. There is a very tiny grey urn just sitting on the ground. Click on it. This will summon Nightbane without all the Roleplaying.
