This seems to be the best wand I can find for aff. locks pre-25 mans
It has the second highest +dam and an insane amount of stam to boot.

Where many other caster classes might be drooling over The Black Stalk https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=29350 (for PvE) for it's nice mix of +dam and +crit I'm currently after this one

I just got this for my priest the other day and it is one of the best wands I've seen. It's perfect for grinding (I'm a holy/disc priest, but I imagine it'd be even better for a shadow priest due to the shadow damage) and I can pretty much take down a mob from about 50% health just using the wand. If you get the chance, take it.. you won't be sorry :)

This wand is just amazing, if you plan to do PVP as a class that can use a wand, get this straight away, compared to the Season one wand (touch of defeat) this has:

+4 stam
-11 int
-12 resi
+2 spelldamage

considering that's 8k honour saved, not bad.

As a mage I have this combined with Rod of the Void Caller which gives me a combined +67 stam. Great for PvP in 60s bracket.

I was lucky enough to have this drop with no other wand users in the group.

The Shadow Labyrinth dungeon is quite a pain - my group died 4 times. Just a warning when fighting the boss that drops this - clear ALL the trash - every single mob - he also mind controls for I think 15 seconds.

The wand itself looks amazing - the end of the wand looks like (and is) the tail of a netherwing drake - it also has a vortex portal glow "thing" as an effect on it.

Will definitely keep this when going to Northrend until something better comes along.

Although I have to consider possibly getting Touch of Defeat (PvP reward).

Great for pvp, stacking stamina and +damage at the same time. Good for all casters, even pvp priests (whether shadow or holy) as stamina is key in pvp.

rolf @ factoring in wand dps as a warlock. That aside, as a heavy afflic lock i would take this wand over the glad one, because it has more stam and damage. Int is worthless because i have infinite mana anywayz.

The Illidari Rod of Discipline I would argue is better

9 Sta
13 spell damage
<Blue Gem Socket> (yes a socketed wand)
Socket bonus - 2 spell dmg

I have Glowing Nightseye in it (5 spell damage 6 stam)

So mine is 15 Sta / 20 spell damage

I prefer the balance of stam and damage though, but if you were maxing it out, you could even drop stam and ignore socket bonus and put say the 12 spell damage gem in then:

9 Sta
25 spell damage
