I too have a hard time choosing between Timewarden's Leggings and Greaves of the Shatterer. I think when it comes down to it, it depends on what you need for your specific character.

A week ago I said the pants depends on what your character needs. Let me explain why I choose to wear the Shatterer. When pitted against the Timewarden's Leggings I think the Greaves of the Shatterer are better. Here is why. The + 25 Str. on the Shatterer is what I like. IMO, I'd give up the + 20 stam. for + 20 str. anyday. If it's + 20 stam. you want, eat some buff food and gain Well Fed bonus. Also, if it's the 11 dodge rating you want from the Timewarden's Leggings, slap a +8 dodge rating red gem into the Shatterer and you're ready to dance, what does the +3 dodge rating difference really do? To me, I am + Str. biased so I like the +25 str. bonus. The Shatterer also matches what I wear better! Looks > Function!

I'm currently using the Felsteel Leggings withe full +12 socketed gems with a LW patch that gives them the Stam and Agilty bonus. After all is said and done, the Felsteel leggings give +105 Stam bonus... for tanking, why would someone choose these over the Felsteel Leggings??

It's a nice legging for TANKING solo against mobs. I would put these on if I was farming because of the added dps.

But for tanking yeah it's gotta be time warden.

I have these over the Timewarden's Leggings. 3x+12 stam gems and Clefthoof armor Kit = 102 stamina, got these before I got the rep for Timewardens, and Im not going to spend money to upgrade them to the standard that i have these at

Better for tanking:
Timewarden's Leggings

...but Greaves of the Shatterer has strenght, and putting the right gems can make these a balanced tanking/dps item suitable for trash mobs or whatever you come up with.

61 stamina with good gems, 91 with leg enchant. These are far inferior to the keepers of time revered legs or the 69 stmaina quested ones in netherstorm

Looking as how these legs do indeed have less stamina than Timekeepers, it still outdoes them in one respect, its got 25 STR where as Timekeepers have none and its hard to get such benefits back from timekeepers.

Now if you dont get me im saying id rather have legs with more balance between the defense rather than just hoarde up on stamina and take a LOT more damage and end up straining the healer more.

I see anything with block value a big plus, and a bit extra defense wont hurt either. and looking at the Timewardens, theyre equip bonuses convert into less block, dodge and parry than these.

Gems make up for something and Timewardens are good for mammoth stamina, but if i would actually have to choose between more mitigation or just huge HP pool, id rather use Shatterer legs

I think deciding between these and Timekeeper's really depends on the gear you have at the time.

If you need to fill some more HP, like I currently do(Gunna replace my LP of Righteous with them for the 125 stam I'll get. Already got 517 defense, I can afford to dump a small chunk for HP), then by all means get the Timekeeper's.

Otherwise, these are better when it comes to rounded use.

I agree Felsteal are much easier to get and will work if you dont have any better... but they are not even close to this item. You are trading 25 strength for 8 def and 200 armor. I would have to say that these would be much better since more than likely you will not need any more def at this lvl.

done 9 runs of shadow labs and never seen bold shoulders drop done 9 run of shattered halls and never seen the helm or legs drop i mean what the #$%^ ? give me a #$%^ing break theres only so much a player can do...there a low drop chance and then there taking the piss and for those pepole who have ran the place 50 times and still not seen em drop that a disgrace

I have Timewardens. They are good. These are better. It all depends on your build, though. I will have the "perfect" all pre-Kara build when I replace my pimped out Timewardens with these.

My unbuffed build at 10/28/07 without these (ALL pre-Kara gear) gives me:

For those who know gear (not the stam-stackers who THINK they know), these are awesome stats. Stam-stacking is fine after other stats are maximized/optimized. I plan to put NetherCleft Leg Armor, one +8 parry gem and two +12 stam gems in these (OR 3 +12 gems). They will ROCK far more than my current Timewardens. Again, it all depends on your build.
