As far as I know, this is one of the only trinkets in the game to provide a static amount of +crit in the game.

As a Rogue, it would be the perfect second trinket to Drake Fang Talisman, which provides the static amount of AP. There are other trinkets that provide similar short term buffs - such as Badge of the Swarmguard and Earthstrike - but neither of those two provide any static bonuses. My personal preference is to have as many items that provide "Equip" bonuses, rather than "Use" - as maximum DPS then comes from effective use of "Use" cooldowns, which are sometimes quite situational.

For a Ret Pally this is much better than the Abacus. AP is very undesirable by Ret Pallies as it does not make use of our 10% increased strength talent. Crit & hit (especially) are hard to make up in our other gear while AP (from strength) comes on just about every piece.

Having crit & hit on trinkets allows us to free up gem & enchant slots for strength and (in the case of cloak) subtlety.

Unavailable since WoTLK is coming out, however this is still a great trinket at 70. Maybe not for raiding but that haste sure helped when needing to pull some quick hits out as an MS warrior in the arena.

I seriously doubt the fact that blizz would add all attack speed bonuses together before figureing the attack speed bonus granted

I would almost guarentee that they use an equation that produces deminishing returns on additional attack speed bonuses(seems like deminishing returns is their bread and butter way of keeping things in check)

A likely formula they use is this

Normal attack speed * .3 = X (bonus granted by flurry)
normal attack speed - X = Y (new attack speed)
Y * .3 = Z (Bonus for Eskhandar's Right Claw)
Y - Z = A New attack speed
A * .2 = B (Bonus for trinket)
A - B = New attack speed
ect....

with this formula each additional attack speed increase is calcualted from an already faster attack speed meaning that the attack speed bonus granted by each additional modifier is less then it would have been had it been calculated with the original attack speed

using this calculation there is a point at which extra attack speed modifiers become mathmatically pointless as the attack speed increase would be less then 1%
Im to lazy to do the entire caculation and figure out where that is, but my guess would be that additional attack speed modifiers are useless at about a 50% overall attack speed increase
meaning youll never swing faster then 50% of normal
this would be reachable by flury, eskhandars, and the trinket...so anything more then that is just wasted gear space for something better

This is the end-all arguments calculation of attack speed. One of the previous commenters had it correct. Blizzard does have kinduva funky way of calculating it.

The modifier is 1 + weapon speed increase. But you cannot add weapon speed increases together.

Let's say you had a 2.00s attack speed weapon. Using this trinket does not reduce your attack speed to 1.60 (which is 2.00 x 0.8). It is in fact 2.00/1.2 which equals 1.67. To add effects such as SnD or BF, you have to divide two more times (do not combine the IAS effects of SnD and BF).

2.00/1.2 = 1.67s <~ w/ trinket
1.67/1.3 = 1.28s <~ w/ trinket + SnD
1.28/1.2 = 1.07s <~ w/ trinket + SnD + BF

The resulting weapon speed of using the trinket, SnD, and BF results in a 46.5% speed increase overall from a 2.00s attack speed to a 1.07s attack speed. If you're a rogue or fury warrior (this applies to flurry as well, and yes the trinket does stack with flurry), you can calculate it for yourself and will find that this method of calculating weapon speeds is correct.

For a hunter, you can get the +15% quiver, 30% from quick shots, 40% from rapidfire, 20% from this trinket. With the Rhok'delar (2.9 attack speed), what would the new attack speed be?

Add "The Beast Within" (+30% damage for 18 seconds +psychotic pet) to this equation and you would vaporize anything in front of you and probably generate too much threat for your own good.

If you have the 2 Cryptstalker set bonus and Rapid Killing talent, Rapid fire will be up every 3 minutes rapid firing for 19 seconds.

With Classic coming to us here soon, this item is going to see a return as well toward the end of the series of content releases for the remade game. That in mind, this trinket is obscenely strong for all the reasons imagined, but I am only going to be speaking to druids on this; this is probably going to end up being one of the Best in Slot items for Feral due to the on use effect, especially with the madness that will be uses of the 手動懲戒錘 for optimal attack speed.

Granted there is no knowing yet, these two items may share a cooldown or similar on the live servers, but just forewarning that this item is likely to end up being coveted for that reason. Unfortunately, just about every physical damage class will want this item if they are clearing Naxxramas and if you are a Feral Combat specialized druid managing to clear said raid, this is not going to be all that difficult for you to get.

Got this on my hunter the other night, 2 min cool down and stacks with rapid fire and improved aspect of the hawk, puts stuff like Earthstrike on a 15 second cooldown.

Yes it stacks with every type of buff. It stacks with Rogue Blade Flurry, it stacks with Warrior Flurry, it stacks with Hunter Rapid Fire. It does not, however, stack with other trinkets. You can only use 1 at a time.

An example of it on my Fury Warrior. I use the GM Longsword which has a speed of 2.90. If Flurry is active and I use Kiss of the Spider the GM LOngsword becomes a 1.87 speed weapon. VERY nice trinket.

ok i kno that if u are in naxx u probably have something better but i think a fury war can get to the point where u attack faster than i think is possible.

Using the right claw of eshekander which proc makes u attack 30% faster this trinket and flurry with a fast offhand like another fist wep with 1.5 speed then this trinket and there are mobs in BRD with haste aura for 20% if u MC'ed one u could get that and be at 20% attk speed and that is .3 attack speed on just the main hand. if all of that applies to Oh as well then u got almost no time between ur attacks. if u got Wf up then with all the instants u are doing so much dmg and if u werent tethered to brd u would be indistructible in pvp not even a mage could kill u unless it could kill u with just instants

In BC this changes to secondary stat ratings:
Equip: Improves critical strike rating by 14 (Level 60: 1% crit - Level 70: 0.63% crit)
Equip: Improves hit rating by 10 (Level 60: 1% hit - Level 70: 0.63% hit)
Use: Increases your haste rating by 200 (Level 60: 20% haste - Level 70: 12.68% haste)

This doesn't change the trinket at all at level 60 (aside from it granting real haste rather than attack speed). It's still quite solid at level 70 but not nearly as impactful.
