would like to add, that since 5.3 the drop rate for this sword is extremely small. I ran deadmines over the course of 2 days 21 times in an attempt to get it. I never saw it drop once, in fact I never saw any blue weapon drop that was boe during all of that time.

The biggest problem for those without heirlooms, particularly new tanks, is their inability to gear properly. My friend who is new to wow, decided he wanted to be a tank, and I told outright, that gearing will be a real problem especially in low level dungeons like deadmines and shadowfang keep.

The problem stems from the fact that swords have some how become rare commodities at this level. Green mail armor strength items are particularly weak against heirlooms of the same level. Essentially those in heirlooms will completely and utterly out dps the tank without heirlooms which really mean as I said to him..if they pull it they kill ot. Not to worry at low level, you have no looms and your gear is almost white thanks to ridiculously low drop rates on tank gear these days. Its not unlucky, it's just that epics have more of a chance of dropping than green mail tanking items below level 30.

Blacksmithing has been train wrecked for new players. suddenly even basic items which only need copper ore are suddenly needing a fistful of differing gems..not worth the time of day doing...unless you have access to unlimited gold. Proof positive for me as a blacksmith and all the changes, that the people at blizzard have spent nearly 9 years failing at trying to create crafting professions.

this icon looks like cruel barb but is bad really, i hit n9's with it and my sword lvl is 130/130, and i'm lvl 26.

Yeah i have a level 19 twink for horde i got one of these with my only run through VC (Nothing good droped from VC tho) then ran again with my shamen got another one i'm not too rich but if someone could help me get a blue dagger or sword for free (i don't have too much money) i'm regus on Bloodscalp

Not the greatest sword in the game, I'd rather have two cruel barbs...but the fast speed makes your sword skill skyrocket when dual weilding em.

I think the weapon is good for lvl 14,15 and 16 maybe higher but not to high cause from lvl 19 u can get better weapons and stuff, you need to see it yourself what u like the most!

They do not glow red, but you can add a Minor Beast Slaying Enchantment (+2 damage on beast)and it will glow red. Cost about 1 1/2 to 2 gold per enchant.

I just did DM today. And 3 of them dropped and a buzz saw and a cruel barb. And 2 defias set pieces. Good for my rogue. :)

While this may not be the best item in the 19 range, it is definitely a great leveling blade.

I really like these swords. I buy them from the auction house and disenchant them. These really are the best way to earn money from disenchanting. I started of with buying 4 of them for 2 gold and now have 50 gold!
They may be ugly but have a gratuitous amount of profit behind them.

I got one for 16 silver on Argent Dawn so well yeah.. going to DM to farm it is damn waste of time.

Foolishly, I agreed to an all-greed roll party. The mage got two of these. Maybe she can dual-wield? You gotta laugh to keep from crying. I'll go back, maybe I can get Cruel Barb for my main hand and this for the off.

low lvls do not waste your time to go into dm and get it get it on the auction house usally really low.
