You only need FRIENDLY to get this tabard, as opposed to Nuetral, which you start as.

If you can't get Friendly in AV in about an hours time... you're doing something horribly wrong.

It is a red tabard with white towards the shoulders, white and golden markings on the front and back with the Stormpike Hammer on Thunderbolts.

i got lvl 51 and i entered the queue for AV, got in for the first time, we won (i got my ice barbed spear :P) handed in the 3 medals of honor and i am now 66 rep points away from being friendly, i will go one more time to AV and then i will get my Stormpike Battle tabard, so as you can see it is not very hard to get this tabard

in order to get into alterac valley you must be lvl 51 or higher and you get in by joining the queue at any capital city or the camp at the alterac mountains

the tabard is really easy to get...you just gotta win about 3 games of AV and you'll be friendly, then you can buy the tabard for 90s...just got it a few days ago with my lvl 53 rogue

The patch no longer needs you to be any rep. So all you need is 60 Alterac Valley Marks and youre set.

You have to get Friendly with SP guards, then u can buy this; and several other things for cash, the tabbie was 90s for me.

You can buy:
mana and healt pots (heal 560-720) 4s50c each
20 Alterac heavy Runecloth Bandages (x20) 72s (can only be used in BG, heal 2k hp)
5 Alterac water (4410 mana, give 10 spirit) for 45s per 5
