This drops from Tendris Warpwood in Dire Maul on a fairly regular basis, and is very nice for a mage just hitting 60. It's very easy to get and the stats are perfect for a caster looking for a staff to start MC/20 man instances with. Plus, it looks just like the starter staff you get at level 1!

Tried to use this in a mistweaver transmog set. Can confirm it looks absolutely terrible; the larger end of the staff sits on the top of the shoulder, and then reaches further into the air. Would not recommend :)

Dropped from Tendris Warpwood (60 elite) in Dire Maul.

Possibly one of the easiest mobs in the game to farm, once you clear one or two of the ironwoods you can walk through all the aggro straight to his pit.

And it's possibly the 2nd best staff in the game, very close to Glowing Brightwood Staff.

Great staff for a +crit caster. Not many wpn/off-hand combos can top this.

Got this last night, replacing my soulkeeper with it. I love the stats and +crit... but it looks like a stick. It's the same graphic as the twig they gave you at level 1... I'm still trying to decide if it's cool that this awesome staff looks like a knobby twig or not.

Yeah I got it last night, I was so glad cuz I wasn't able to find a better staff than my stupid low level lookin ill rod. it's great, even if it does look small. I just put a blue glow on it, heh.
Still lookin for my brightwood tho :P

This is a very nice staff for a green item.

It's definatly better than Magus Long Staff of Intellect, which I had been considering buying of the AH for a few gold.

That much intelect is rare on that kind of staff - it's much more common on a Rare.

All it needs is a better graphic; it looks like a fishing pole.

Its ugly, it looks like a old mans walking stick. But damn its good, should have been a blue with those stats. Also using it until i get anything better

I got this drop last night, it's probably the best Green item I've ever seen. I use it on and off with my Soul Harvester, but the graphic isn't very good. It's this tiny little cane that is barely held in both hands. Anywho, first time seeing it after 7 kills, and I got it, no one else wanted it, lucky me =D
