I just picked these up yesterday. I'm a 58 mage so I dunno what to expect from MC just yet, but I heard that being a Fire spec is the worst thing you can be in that instance. So tell me, why would you want to wear these boots in MC? Sure they have fire resist, but they are also meant for fire damage.

Fire spec is fine for MC, all you need to realize is that the fire eles and the bosses are immune. So if you spec yourself, with max Arcane Subtlety, you can compensate quite fine.

Get some Fire Striders, an Eye of Flame, and some Inferno Gloves and you will be throwing some pretty hurty fireballs.

Very very nice for mages! If I hadn't got some shoes that dropped in BRD(have 22magical spells) than I would prob. try to get those without a doubt!

I am and always will be a fire mage. Just because one end game instance is in a scary fire dungeon doesn't mean you have to also fear speccing fire. Just throw a few points into improved frostbolt for the few things that are immune to fire and you're set. Fire mages routinely top dps charts even in Molten Core. Fire mages have a some specialized armor that is actually better than the Arcanist set so you don't even need to spend a whole lot of time in Molten Core. You will be able to roll high dkp on items that really matter like mageblade or toep or the few Arcanist pieces that you want because you will be the only one rolling for the few fire mage pieces that drop so you can bid minumum dkp, all along even saving up some dkp to eventually get netherwind and so on and so on. So yeah, roll fire mage and have fun topping the damage chart and getting the gear you want before faster then those silly frost mages :-D

if you want FR you can't go wrong with these... I bring em to MC/BWL when we need full FR, although I like dragonrider boots more, these ones do have more FR.
