These boots are an extremely rare zone drop, it seems. They dropped for me this morning from Tinkerer Gizlock in Maurodon. They aren't even listed in his loot table.

Maurodon has been dropping some pretty weird stuff for me in the last few days of farming Headhunter's Spaulders... I had Starfaller drop from a group of Vile Larva a couple days ago. They are not listed as a dropped-by source (until WOWhead updates with my data).

The Random Number Gods are interesting and cruel. Still waiting for my spaulders.

These dropped for me off a Feral Scar Yeti in Feralas. He was way back in yeti cave, doubt that makes a difference though, lol.

Just got these on AH yesterday for 3.5g, pretty damn happy! I would advise any warrior or pally lv 30+ to get these s they are the best thing you can get for a while.

it dropped for me off of a mesa bird around the cresting exiles in alterac. i was was running by and it aggroed, but i kept goin since it was low level. then it stunned me and i got pissed so i turned around and killed it. dropped these :P

Look guys do yourself a favour.... nobody cares where you find em it doesnt matter. They drop randomly so telling them which mob you killed won't matter a dot... sold mine for 20g =]

these dropped from a lvl29 nightbane in duskwood. crazy stats for the lvl item and as i'm a pally and was actually just starting off in the area... huge w00t to me. i cannot believe the SM boots go for as much as they do when these have, in my opinion, way better stats and exactly the same armour. used them all the way past lvl40 along with SM pants, belt, gloves and bracers.

Found them in a chest while questing in Hillsbrad Foothill. If you can get 10g for them in the AH you are lucky. The stats on these boots are bad. Remove spirit and buff STR instead, that would make them valuable.

Just sold these for 31g on AH. I would've guess for less, but there was someone else selling them for around that and I opted to undercut by 5%. Honestly, I'm surprised they went for that much.
