I've been checking out the 5.4 trinkets for my Resto Druid and if my numbers aren't completely off, this one brings along a huge boost in regen compared to our previous top choices.
Before I get started, I'd like you to know that it's been a while since my last math classes (also, they weren't held in English), so please excuse me, if my explanations are a bit awkward.

1. The moment it procs you would get 20x1123 Spirit, 0.5 secs later 19x1123. The last two procs would still grant you 2x1123 and 1x1123, making it an average of 11’791.5 Spirit.

(first Spirit value + last Spirit value) /2 = 11’791.5 Spirit

2. Taking this figure to calculate in combat regen, you get 6'654.533 Mp5 while it's up.

11’791.5 x 0.5 x 1.1287 = 6’654.533 Mp5

3. The Trinket procs at 0.96+Haste. Using the 21.433% haste cap for Resto Druids you get approximately 1.1743 procs per minute. With the proc lasting 10 secs this would mean an average of 11.743 secs every 60 secs or an estimated uptime of 19.572%.

100/60 x ((0.96+0.21433) x 10) = 19.572%

4. Multiplying the Mp5 value with the uptime value, results in the rather insane amount of 1'302.4 Mp5.

6.654.533 x 0.19572 = 1'302.4252 Mp5

Our previous top choice, the fully upgraded "Soothing Talisman of the Shado-Pan Assault", grants 892 Mp5. This trinket will give us an extra 410 Mp5, making it 45% better than the Shado-Pan one. It also grants us an extra 289 Intellect for throughput.
