Despite the comical comment below, I see no others comments on this achieve and I was wondering: does two of his swarm mean two mobs, or two types of mobs? This would essentially change the fight. Just two adds mean you have to spear a Amber-Trapper and a Blademaster and tend to three Menders. If you can cc more of the same swarm you can disable all Amber-Trappers, significantly increasing the control on the Menders.

I do guess it's just two ccs, so then the best option is likely one Amber-Trapper and one Blademaster, and make sure the interrupts on the Menders is settled correctly. More damage on them = quicker down, so once you get through that the fight is the same with more time to spare.

To complete this easily, simply CC two Amber-Trappers. Blademaster shouldn't one shot anyone at a decent gear level. Boss mods give a pre warning for their charge attack, so have anyone having trouble surviving be ready to pop personals/call for an external cooldown.

CC'ing two Trappers is definitely the way to go.

The Kor'thik Strike will do 450k damage on normal mode (150k x 3) before armour, so with a plausible minimum of 20% physical reduction on an undergeared clothie it would come out at around 360k which is easily healed through if your healers are on the ball. Hunter feign death will completely avoid the Kor'thik Strike, and it's possible similar skills like vanish, invisibility, displacer beast, talented fade and shadowmeld would also work in a similar fashion.

Other than that it's mostly a matter of breaking the traps quickly (from the single un-CC'd Trapper) to allow for 3x interrupts and consistent purges of quickening. It would probably be best to assign a purger to each Kor'thik Blademaster (I focus tranq on my hunter regularly for our heroic strat anyway on a pre-assigned Blademaster).

Allow mass dispells/spam purges (shaman purge glyph will make it remove 2 stacks iirc) to take care of the less dangerous mobs' stacks.

After the Menders die it's pretty much the fight as per usual.

I wouldn't recommend attempting this achievement on heroic as having a Trapper up sub 75% on the boss can mean a very easy wipe to an unlucky wind-bomb/amber trap combination. However, it would be plausible to do it with a fast kill-time and effective use of paladin bubbles/other immunites/human racials (even pvp trinkets perhaps).

Here's what we did:

We CC'd two Menders (as to not have to worry much about Quickening/Mending) and kept them CC'd until the other (non CC'd) Mender was up for being killed.

We nuked down a skullmarked Trapper with Heroism on the pull, with everyone except one assigned interrupter on the Mender that was not CC'd focusing that one Trapper.

The Mender was next to go down, and from that point on, you can treat the fight like you normally would.

Failed this in an openraid pug tonight. One of our mages sheeped a target that wasn't supposed to get CC'd right as we go to the boss. We let the sheep run out and CC'd two other targets. Killed the boss, but no achievement. Most likely because the old sheep counted as a third CC, even though it was no longer active when we actually pulled the boss.

That's my theory of why we failed at least. I guess someone could have screwed up with some CC mid-fight. If you overgear the fight and want to be safe, I'd recommend skipping CC completely. If you have players around 550+, the adds will just melt before they have much time to do anything.
