In those pesky situations where you think... I need a fast heal... me or he/she? Well... why not both? :D The mana cost isn't so high from casting 2 flash heals, and it's faster. Great spell.

after the mana reduction, this spell now sees constant action in arena, bg's and even some raids/instances when i'm not completely one shotted.

In 2v2 arenas, this spell + prayer of mending + renew on both players is pretty sick...Casting ProM then BH when needed and I keep both of us alive for a loooonnggg time..

This spell is great in PVE as well as PVP. During most raid bosses now their is AoE damage for at least 1.5k-2k hp. Find another clothy and cast away. Awesomely mana efficient and fast.

dunno how many priests use this and combine it with 2set hallowed, but that 100% non-interupptable heal when taking dmg... just so you know ;)

works wounders in 2v2 arena, specially as a healing priest with a dps-class close ;)

I'm curious. Can a priest target him/herself with the spell, and get twice the healing? If so, would seem like a ridiculously good spell to use in arenas when you're being focused down.

If you aren't using this spell in PVE you are wrong.

Any time you go to heal yourself, instead of using a Flash Heal, look for someone else to heal and cast Binding Heal on them.

Yes, this is great for bosses who have a notable aoe or cone attack, and you're the only healer so you have to heal everyone. At the level you get this, Rokmar the Crackler, second boss of the Slave Pens, comes to mind.

Best use I found for this spell is to heal through Zul'jin's phase 3.

In this phase, every time you cast a spell, you are zapped for 1250 nature dmg. The interesting part is that this damage comes right before the self-healing part of Binding Heal.

So you can heal everyone you want in the raid, you'll get zapped and then instantly healed. Profit.

It's also worth noting, this spell causes less threat per point healed than a normal heal spell. Useful if you need to throw out a heal soon into a fight or if you are just in a threat sensitive situation.

Does anybody have the modifier for the lowered threat?
i mean, how much less threat does it do,
taken into consideration that no overhealing is done on any of the targets.

If no overhealing is done, it heals for ~2-2,5 times more than Flash Heal.
so is the lowered theat worth it on AE pulls etc?

This spells generates around half of the Flash Heal's threat.

I don't get why are so many priests unhappy with this spell, I mean, look at it.
- It heals two targets at once which means, only 1 GCD used and 1.5 seconds spent.
- It generates low threat, obvious use
- Costs less than 2x flash heal (Not with 3 points in improved flash heal and the flash heal glyph but duh..)
- Heals MORE than flash heal with the same 1.5sec cast spellpower coefficient
- This is THE spell for the situation when you overaggro, it fullfills three things you need to do at the moment, healing yourself, healing the tank, and generating least threat possible.
- Perfect for 2vs2 arena, if you even find situation when YOU are alive and other team focuses on your partner

The thing I don't like about this spell is lack of talents and glyph.

And yes, I know this is going to be downrated by unhappy priests :)

When both you and the target are in need of healing, this is almost exactly as efficient as Heal, but far, far faster. This means it's also far more efficient than Greater Heal.

In any pressing situation, where you don't have time to cast Heal 5 or 6 times, instead you can cast Binding Heal, once.

This is THE best heal for yourself and 1 other target. For 3 targets Prayer of Healing usually beats it, depending on your talents, etc, but is far, far slower. The only better option for 2-target healing is Penance or Holy Word: Serenity (both of which have cooldowns), Prayer of Mending (if the damage is consistent and it luckily bounces between the two of you) or a Disc priest's PW:S, if glyphed, and if you have enough incoming damage for most of the absorb to get used.

This counts as a direct heal for the purposes of Chakra: Serenity, refreshing the duration of Renew on both yourself and your target, as well as being duplicated and healing the raid with Ysera's buff when fighting Ultraxion.

I can't wait to hop on today to ding 64 so i can use this spell on my runs. Perfect example of when this should be used: Crackler in Slave Pens, does that AOE damage to everyone, what better than to heal your tank (the two most important people in the group to stay alive) while getting yourself back up to top hp? This spell is going on the hotkeys for sure, probably at #7 so it's in reach for the situations where it's needed but not to spam.

You obviously miss the point of this spell mate. It's a situational heal, of course it's "better" to use more effective heals, but if both you and a tank need healing, you can use this once to help get your own hps back up, and then focus on the tank again. IMO, at 64, 705 mana isn't much mana. And let's not forget about the extra threat you would be pulling with a bigger heal. All in all a good heal, but as I mentioned, it's situational, it's not designed to be your "every" heal...

Yeah, there have been a couple times where I've been busted up and the tank still needed quick heals so I spammed this a couple times to get my life up and the tank to a safer health level then went back to renew / greater heal / etc.

Not a bad spell at all when used right!

I just did the maths.
The average heal of binding heal is exactly the same as lvl67 rank9 flash heal! The heal per mana is worse by 10%, or a bit more if you have empowered healing - as emp.healing boosts flash heal but doesn't boost binding. It really needs some talents to affect it to be very good, otherwise it's limited to special emergencies and pvp.

This is a time efficient spell, not a mana efficient spell. It heals about the same as two flash heals for twice as much mana but in half the time. Healing isn't always about mana efficiency.

This heals you and your target basically about half-way between a flash heal and a greater heal (each). I used this as a holy priest and it pretty much sucked. However as a disc priest it is far more useful. 1st off, you have much more mana and mana regen, to take care of the spell cost. 2nd, if you have aggro, the tank is going down fast, and your fade is on cooldown (a somewhat common situation), you can, for example, pop divine shield, and quickly heal yourself and the tank to buy enough time for the next fade, or for others to pull aggro off of you. It is good to hotkey and practice with this spell to see how to use it properly. It's a very situational spell; expensive/not mana efficient, but a good dual-quick heal to buy time.
...I don't PvP enough to know if this is worthwhile in PvP.

Why does this spell say "Requires Spirit of Redemption" does just require to have that talent to be able to use it or have to be in that healing ghost form.

If it's like that no point in healing the caster you have unlimited health. I don't know yet my priest is only 63

I just got the spell when I leveled, but it does seem like a good choice when you're busy healing a tank, and don't have time to stop healing him to heal yourself. Prayer of Healing is another option, but a waste if the rest of the party is healthy.

Next Patch: 32% mana cost reduce. Very nice in next oatch but currently this costs WAY too much mana so I only use this out of combat after a duel or maybe in a party to heal myself and some1 else for time fficentely.

Besides that its useless, heals are pretty bad unless you uber.

Until next patch, I wouldnt use this.

Yea, I see this spell as time efficient, and hey, it's more mana efficient than the final rank of Flash Heal and heals a bit more (although the +healing final rank Flash Heal gets is more than this one's because of level difference, plus there's Empowered Healing talent). And it says low threat in the desc (which I assume it either has less threat than Flash Heals overall or each heals, self and target, has less threat to equal one Flash Heal).

I'm assuming the 32% mana reduction puts it down to 475 mana cost (close to final rank Flash Heal)? If so, that'd make it more mana efficient.

I don't understand the constant mention of this spell being like 2 Flash Heals. Flash Heal's penultimate rank heals up to 1059, and the final one up to 1279. Two Flash Heals would handle well over 2000. This heals up to 1388. I just thought the point of this spell's mana is the low threat thing. What am I missing?

Two flash heals cost 940 mana and require up 3s to heal yourself and your target manually.

Binding Heal costs 705 mana and it instantly heals you and your target.

I find it exceptionally useful. It heals quicker than renew and it lets you top off another target at sametime.

this spell is only really useful in pvp, especially in arena. if both you and your partner is getting attacked using this is a good idea since they lowered the mana cost greatly.

Not bad but only good if you and your target are low on hp, I wouldn't use it otherwise.
