An amusing fight, to say the least. It's the Crawling Claw model, scaled up. Hang near the middle of the arena with him, because the gimmick of the fight only seems to trigger if you're near him.

Every so often, Ro-Shambo casts 'Rock, Paper, Scissors', giving you 5-6 seconds to choose one yourself in a vehicle-like interface that pops up. Get it wrong, and he unleashes the related power - scissors summons a giant, ridiculously painful pair of scissors, rock summons a swarm of rolling boulders, and paper... I didn't see, because he died immediately after using it. My first try, I suspect I was too far away because I got no interface, he won the rounds by default, and I got annihilated in short order.

BUT....

If you win the round of rock-paper-scissors, Ro-Shambo takes 500% damage for a few seconds afterward, and the power he unleashes is a joke (The scissors have 400k hp instead of millions, the boulders are paper-covered and much less dangerous, etc). He has 12 million HP, so you really want to get at least the first two rounds in your favor to lock in the win.

You need Paper-Covered Rock in order to challenge Ro-Shambo.
There’s a chance that you get this item from harvesting crops on your farm. It’s uncertain if 1 crop has a bigger chance than another, but my guess is that it’s all the same. My advice would be to plant Songbell seeds so that you can create Spirit of Harmony and use those to buy solved artifacts, to buy the Tol’Vir crates, to get the Digmaster’s Earthblade.

Not sure if he is bugged or not at this time. I have tried him several times and he doesn't always cast his paper, rock, scissors ability. I have had encounters with him that went to enrage without him casting it once. I think it may be caused by snaring him, but am not 100% sure on that.

Even when he does cast the ability, sometimes the options for you to choose haven't shown up.

As Shinjumi said in his comment, the fight comes down to picking the right option and winning the game of paper/rock/scissors.

I can verify that I received this from a mogu pumpkin vegetable I harvested. So it most likely drops from any harvested crop.

It is worth noting that his order will carry over between attempts. If his last cast throw was Rock and then the player wins or dies, the next player going (or if its the same player) Ro-Shambo will start with Paper. If the last throw of the previous fight was Scissors, the first of the next fight he will start with Rock...and so on. Also, if you have no idea what is going to come next your best pet is to throw scissors. The only "loss" that is survivable is against rock, you just need to survive until the next throw by dodging boulders.

As far as Ro not casting his spell, I found that on my shaman if I have a totem out I will not get the bar with the 3 choices. I also found that if you don't get the bar with the 3 choices and then knock him back, while he is casting, he will not throw again the rest of the fight, making it a 'simple' burn, 12 million health in 2 minutes. I tested it enough to know that this is the case every single time. So as a shaman if you don't want to feel like you're cheesing the fight, you need to recall any totems before he does his rock paper scissors cast.

"Roshambo" is an actual name of this game in English-speaking part of the world (link), and it's easily used as the countdown till showing your chosen figure. But, which is more, "Roshambo" is the surname of famous strategist from France (link, actual spelling is "Rochambeau"). That's why he is presented to players as the general (though the real general had both of his arms and legs =) ).

I died several times before I figured it out but, unless it was just a quirk of my fights, he rotates left-to-right through the options. I always got scissors after paper, rock after scissors, paper after rock and in the final fight used this plus AwesomeShaman's remark to win while taking negligible damage.

He always go from left to right as someone already mentioned, but where he starts? Well, I can't find a reliable pattern, might be that the first choice is random.
Also, I was completely alone in the arena, not a single soul in between my tries.

The shirt gives the buff Brawling Champion with a 'When in doubt, go with rock' buff description, similar to the affects of Precious' Ribbon.

None of these posts helped me. At all. Well, one helped me a little, so I'm including that info. Other than that I had to do So I little forum/youtube datamining and found out the secret.

#1 If you are epic, you can stun or cc him right away and then you have 2 min to nuke him. He won't ever do the ro-shambo. At the very end when he is almost dead he summons a meteor storm though so you better have the burst deeps.

#2 There are three possibilities, you beat him, you tie with him or he beats you. He summons the same number of adds (rocks, papers or scissors) no matter what, but if he beats you, they do a lot of damage, if you tie they do less, and if you beat him then they do even less. All of these adds can be dodged and damaged (but dont try to kill the adds or you risk enrage). After awhile they disappear.

#3 The secret is this: while his first choice is always random, every choice after that follows this order - rock paper scissor. So if he chooses rock first, his next choice will always be paper. If he chooses scissor first, his next choice is always rock. If paper first, then always scissor. So you have a 33% chance of winning the first one, but a 100% chance of winning the second.

#4 You NEED to engage him from the middle of the floor. If you are ranged, you NEED to get into melee range or you won't get the ro-shambo "vehicle". Immediately after you do the ros-shambo you can put some distance between you, but be mindful of the second ro-shambo which will be in about 1 minute after the first one i guess.

Other facts: You won't go beyond two ro-shambos before one of you dies. If you beat him in ro-shambo, he takes more damage (one post said 500% more but idk). You will need to run around a lot dodging things. You will benefit from stunning him and self-healing because his attacks will do nothing for while then take big chunks out of your health.

One of the latest/hardest boss for achievement Deck Your Collection. First round of paper stone scissors is a random, but even if you lose it, you can control Scissors like me on video and kill the boss easily, avoiding stones. The second round its impossible to lose. Good luck.

Tried as Blood Death Knight in DPS gear but can't really get him down.
I do around 110k DPS so I doubt that's the problem but after the third 'Rock, Paper, Scissors' the arena is filled with #$%^ that eventually brings me down, despite being "unkillable" Blood.

Am I supposed to burn adds down as soon as they spawn or do you guys just stick on boss?

Any advice is appreciated.

The fact that Ro-Shambo follows the Rock, Paper, Scissors order makes it a lot easier to anticipate his next move. However there's no way to know this from the first time you go in as there's a one in three chance he will start with rock.

On my second last attempt, he cast Scissors last (which I lost and died) but when I challenged him again, I knew he would cast Rock first (which he did). I countered with Paper and won as well as winning the next two throws.

Essentially, I had a post-it note with the following:

Rock - Paper
Paper - Scissors
Scissors - Rock

so if he cast paper I knew to counter with scissors, etc.

As I said he follows the Rock, Paper, Scissors order so when I defeated him, he happened to start with Rock followed by Paper and Scissors so I countered with Paper, Scissors and Rock as listed above.

Once you understand this you can defeat him pretty easily. Note that if you win the throw he gets stunned for a few seconds giving you a nice DPS increase. The adds are pretty easy to avoid but if you lose the throw you'll be taking a lot more damage.

As a shadow priest, I was able to fear and use spectral guise when needed, popping a potion at the start and using Mindbender. Here's the video.

Just completed this as a mage (went frost). I watched a youtube clip about it and used "scissors" as my first choice at the start of each turn as paper is the worst if you lose. It took me a bit of practice to get him down. If you get lucky with your first choice it makes it easier, however after his first "random" choice he follows a "Rock, Paper, Scissors" rotation, so make sure you remember what he chose previously so you know how to counter his next choice. The 700g from the Overflowing sack of coins covered my repair bill at least!
