The traps look like spiky balls on the ground in the beta.

Traps that damage you don't give credit, but for that you need to almost hug them :D

I was curious how much damage they do, and you really do have to kind of stomp on them. I took about 14k damage. After you've gotten enough poked, they stop sparkling, so keep your eyes open a little bit. They can still sting you after you've turned it in, too, and after completion you can no longer disarm the traps.

Would it really be so bad to let a Rogues Disarm Trap work on these?

This process of disarming the traps is, of course, highly scientific and complex.
