The way this program keeps track of NPCs the location is bugged for this NPC. 55, 7 is close to where it is and begins the escort, but a neat added bonus to this bug is this map gives you a map of the path the escort mission takes.

Wasn't that hard for a lvl45 Feral Druid, when you start getting the waves, go bear, enrange, swipe a few times & then hit Frenz. Regen. & demo roar. You may need to shift out to pop a pot & toss up Rejuv real quick then shift back. But it's definately doable. I got past the hardest part 1st try, the 1st three & the bear walked up right after they popped, lol. Do let the chicken get aggro first tho, because I had to start over because on the 2nd pop, the gorillas, I got aggro & chicken didn't & he ran off & died. I used a couple scrolls & was well fed just to be safe.

Soloed as a 43 affliction lock. Just use howl of terror at the beginning. And DoT fear. Then work on one, and drain health.

Some of those escort quests are rather ridiculous! And this is certainly on of them.

Even if you are behind, those quest spawned mobs will target you sometimes instead of "leading" chicken which means you are screwed as your escort will go on with its path and quite probably trigger next patrol (or any nearby mob) way before you can deal with previous 3.

Unless you are way overleveled for that quest. Also there is no mention in quest log that this quest requires at least 3 players. And this certainly is not a ordinary lvl. 45 quest.

I did check lvl of the mobs and in my case first patrol was lvl. 46 and NOT 44. Does lvl of those mobs scale (to some degree) with player level as I am currently 50?

Blizzard should at least fix that escorted npc should always assist you in combat and not go on like "nothing" happens. This is even more ridiculous as npc warns you about "that" danger.

Not sure as of what patch but now as soon as you kill the 3 yeti that attack you the chicken walks a few steps to the road and flies away and the quest is completed

Completed today. The npc is in a clearing at the end of a long tunnel if you're on land. If you're flying u can just fly over the tunnel. It is around the markers above

Entrance to the tunnel to get to the robot to escort it is at 55.5, 56.5

I tried 6 times to get that stupid chicken to safty, As a lvl 46 rogue I should have had no problem. But the yeties keep ganking me I can easly take 2 of them but 3 not gunna happen. Well I treid something new I killed all the yeties on the way in and did not loot them, got the quest and followed the chicken out and then looted on the way out, this helps to slow respawn. then just stayed in stealth for the rest of the walk. the next 2 groups that attack you Apes (lvl42) and then a large group Riverpaw gnolls (lvl42-43) just go right by they do try to attack the chicken but as long as he does not get slowed down he can out run them. just make sure your stealth is at optimum to avoid detection and stay out of there way.
I tried this 2 times the first time it didnt work the second time work like a dream. SOLO :)

As of 23-01-06 this quest is bugged - the chicken doesnt move. Bug is reported and will be looked into.

Just finished the quest 13-5-06 lvl 56 rogue. Tried different combinations and here is the facts:

After entering the first part of the cave clear it by killing the 2 yetis inside. The robot is surrounded by up to 3 yetis which are kind of scattered so you can kill them one by one.

Waking up the robot will make it move using a route that will attract 2 more yetis. Kill them fast since 3 more will spawn. Supposing you kill the first spawn the robot will continue not pulling any more aggro for the time being.

Moments later it will detect threat which is basically 3 monkeys that will jump you. If youre rogue and stealthed cheap shot one and pull aggro from another because the robot will not handle two mobs. Done? now is the good part.

Bandage fast and follow the robot. After the bridge it will stop again and will be jumped by 4 alphas. The alphas have a healer with them so take him out fast. They also tend to run away when at low hp so guard the robot because it tends to hunt them down. After that you re done and the escort completes itself with the robot vanishing.

This quest is good for all classes that can crowd control or pull aggro and tank it. Will be a bugger for rogues and its certainly not a lvl 45 quest. Reward is pretty decent for a rogue sux for all other classes. (Failed Flying Experiment +10 agi +10 str leather shoulders and a crappy cloak with a silly comment)

Stop farming Yetti' it's a random drop from lvl 40 to 45.
And for dumbbird we aren't all rogues stop telling everyone how you accomplished it, just tell us how you many and what level you faced.
I did it as a 45 Warrior.

I got this quest off a Hippogryph in Feralas. Ran through it by myself as a lvl 44 Hunter; it was close, but I made it.

If you're a Hunter, make sure your pet has has the 'growl' ability. What I did is, I had my pet attack each enemy just long enough to get them to focus their attention on him so the chicken would be safe, then mended him as needed and shot at the mobs from a distance.

Oddly enough, I'd planned to take the cape as the reward, but one of the mobs that attacked us dropped an even better one. :D

I keked really hard while doing this quest. Cause ... I didn't even stuck in combat with appeared packs except middle one (with three gorillas) which was super easy. But even those could be avoided. The secret is in... OTHER people around you walking, running and aggroing everything from you.

You can ask some random friend or someone who isn't busy much in this area to help not even fighting, they will need to aggro all mobs when they appear (they always appear far further from the point of actual attack) and run for their life. Since chicken doesn't respond to mobs which don't attack it, it will just go through mobs and your friend/random helper can avoid them by run far enough. Those mobs will return to expected attack place but chicken will be long gone.

This worked as a charm for me personally cause twice in a row random people (one hordie, and one allie) was aggroing those appeared packs of mobs and fled from them making this quest super easy for me.

This will not work I assume for your helping friend if they have same quest, cause when they run off from chicken it will fail for them. So ask someone who isn't on this quest or already done it. Or just push your lack on other random busy people around in this area and don't aggro mobs first.
