This horrible monster is the bane of my existence. The Battle Pet Tamer™ in Crystalsong has one, as does a friend of mine. At level 15 they become really frustrating to fight--Curse of Doom, then Agony, then RIGHT BEFORE YOU HEAL or kill it, it'll Death Grip and your cursed pet still takes boatloads of damage while it curses your next pet. OH BOY, YOU KILLED IT! Wham, undead pet, lives one more round. You die, it dies again, but you still lost the battle.

Time for me to start leveling my archeology, this is a sweet one.

(One eternity later) Since this is the top comment on the page, some more information on this guy: what I said up there still holds true, since that particular strategy didn't get nerfed in the undead pet changes a while back, but it was still a better pet before the change to Rot. That being said, it's still going to cost infinity gold because, even though it's still possible to get, it really is rare enough to merit the price. Believe me, I haven't stopped trying to get it. If you have one of these and you're a collector, HANG ON TO IT. If you have one of these and you aren't a collector, though, check your server's prices. You are sitting on a goldmine.

To crush NPC undead pets use an aquatic pet that has a critter attack i.e a Turtle. Use powerball all day long then heal with healing wave. aquatic pets take less damage from undead and critter attacks do more damage to them. I was able to smoke the undead trainer in crystalsong by deploying several turtles.

Brutal, Brutal pet. Curse of Doom, Agony, Death Grip and watch the fireworks. Great way to disrupt enemy plans and hurt pets that could otherwise heal up. Unfortunatley, it leaves you without a good "Spam" move.

This can be a pretty annoying pet to fight. In both pvp and pve, in general, this will dot up your first mob then pull in something else while the dots tick. There's no particularly easy way to get around this unless you can very quickly get around this or can somehow have 100% avoidance on the turn he tries to grip. Just be aware that the grip will happen, and if you face one in pvp, this will basically always be the mob the enemy opens with.

When two Crawling Claw pets come into contact, they will play rock paper scissors. The loser explodes and is dismissed, while the winner sparkles for a few seconds.

This can be bought on the AH for a hefty sum, but if you're like me you want to farm Tol'vir fragments for it. There are two ways to farm Tol'vir fragments - finding them at archaeology dig sites in Uldum, or exchanging Restored Artifacts for Crates of Tol'vir Archaeology Fragments from Brann Bronzebeard.

Speed wise, both ways take roughly the same amount of time to farm. Farming fragments in Uldum is a gamble, as the dig sites share spawns with all other Kalimdor dig site spawns, of which there are only 4 at any one time, which spawn randomly when one dig site is finished.
Depending on your luck, this can be incredibly fast or incredibly slow. It does, however, have the benefit of getting paid alot from vendoring Night Elf, Dwarven, Troll, and Fossil junk. So much in fact, that you'll likely see many level 85 dwarven (Explorer) gold farming bots while doing it. Can easily make 500-1000G an hour.

The second method involves completing dig sites around Pandaria. Common artifacts found in Pandaria can be packaged up into a Restored Artifact and exchanged for Tol'vir Fragments. Each crate however, only gives the same amount as a single dig from a dig site. You will likely achieve almost all of the Pandaria archaeology achievements in the process which is the benefit of doing it this way. Fragments per hour are far more consistant too.

After measuring the amount of fragments i recieved in an hour, using each of these methods i can say that the first method had a slight edge, but due to the gamble aspect, i prefer the second method.

In one hour completing Kalimdor dig sites, i attained 178 Tol'vir fragments, and 638G
In one hour completing Pandaria dig sites, i attained 147 Tol'vir fragments (20 Crates), and a plethora of achievements.

Before patch 5.2, there was a bug with Mantid Artifact Sonic Locator that would reset your dig sites upon moving between zones in Kalimdor, essentially allowing you to just move in and out of Uldum to create dig sites. This has been fixed now though and is no longer possible.

Oh and FYI - i've so far spent 20 hours over the past few days doing archaeology trying to get this thing and it just won't show up in my artifact sheet. It is an infuriatingly annoying grind.

This appears to be nothing more than the paw of a small primate. A closer inspection shows that the hand has been dried by centuries of exposure to the sands of Uldum.
