Set up your Invoker's Energy by casting evocation before combat

Cast Living Bomb on the enemy target(s).

Cast all your damage cooldowns.

Cast Combustion when the enemy is debuffed with a solid Ignite DoT.

Cast Pyroblast whenever you've got the Pyroblast! proc from hitting two critical strikes.

Cast Inferno Blast whenever you've got Heating Up to guarantee a Pyroblast! proc.

Cast Fireball

Cast Scorch instead if you have to move and don't have any instant cast spell available.

Will fire mage be competitive ever again in the whole expansion? If so, what is the turning point?

I think Frost is gonna be the top spec still for first phase but will switch to Arcane being the top dog as new phases release.
