Ooh I like this. I wanna go horde for MoP but the AH for it on my server sucks so I’m stuck on Alliance. This’d solve that. WPvP isn’t really a thing anyway.
RiP rp realms
Literally was about to but the 80$ transfer. now if only they would make this happen tomorrow.
Don’t like this. Game was always better for me when I had choices. Sucks being mostly limited to Pagle as it is.
"thanks to @Artemishowl badgering" Someone had to badger you to get to this point? Wild.
I love the "stop pretending Faerlina and Benediction are PVP realms"
about time. Dont get why there are a dozen or so server with only 1 raider on them
Blizzard absolutely failed here. Converting Benediction and Faerlina into PvE realms instead of merging and enforcing faction balance is a lazy fix that ignores the root problem: they let these servers rot into mono-faction wastelands. That’s not PvP it’s PvE with a different label. If players want PvE, they should roll on a PvE realm. Don’t punish the rest of us who actually care about world PvP and server integrity. This mess happened because Blizzard refused to act when faction imbalance started spiraling. Now even more bots will flood the mega server and there’ll be zero world PvP to push back. Grobbulus being balanced is great, but it’s a band-aid on a gaping wound. Stop pretending this is a win. It’s damage control for years of neglect. This isn’t a solution it’s Blizzard sweeping their failure under the rug and hoping we won’t notice the stench.
please do it! German realms are so dead. Please put them together. It's so hard to find random raids.
What about Australian/New Zealand servers (aka OCE servers)? The actual REAL innovation would be that if we are going to stop pretending Faerlina and Benediction are PvP realms as he explicitly implied here then we need to stop pretending EU and US players and their respective realms are playing a different game, because spoiler alert; We aren't.I'm aware the chances for this to actually happen are non existent at this point but one could hope. The fact that the US resets/patch days are on Tuesdays while the EU are on Wednesdays is a thing of the past, if not a RELIC of the past... a relilc from the 2003~2004 era.If Blizzard actually CARED about their gamers/subscription base they would put us all on equal foot, on equal grounds, pushing the logic to it's extreme, historically speaking EU players always have been on the receiving end of the stick watching US claim all sorts of exclusive promotional deals, claim World Firsts (back in the days at least) and get to experience (and also let's face it exploit in-game bugs) at least 24 hours ahead of the EU crowd.Again I'm aware I'm just shooting in the wind at this point, but if Tom Ellis actually cared enough, he would be reminded of the core philosophies of the old former Blizzard Entertainment of the 90's up until the mid 2000's:"Play Nice, Play Fair".Heck, let this post serve as a reminder that this is even engraved on the Orc statue pedestal at Blizzard's Headquarters. As for Blizzard playing nice and playing fair with us? Not so much.
please do
About time tbh
And this is what should have happened with Retail realms too, probably 10 years ago. Instead they slapped 10 different bandaids, all of which actually took away from the immersion and the communities in the game. I always found the whole Player-Realm thing pretty off-putting.
Yes please, merge as many realms as possible, barely no one wants PvP so mega PvE realms be it!
What about Guild progression and Guild Bank? Will it transfer with the Guild Master because holy #$%^ dropping 20$ a few times to unlock all the tabs for a materials guild bank would blow if you can't move the guild over also to new mega server.
Locking the servers is going to negatively impact the raiding guilds that decide to stay behind on their current servers unless you add cross realm guilds/raiding. A lot of people have already been forced to transfer and start over once due to the previous server shut downs in TBC. Forcing people to have to do that again is in extremely poor taste and is going to piss a lot of people off. On top of the fact that many people may not want to transfer and risk losing character names, guild names, and have to deal with the inevitable queue times that come from forcing a mega server. Over the lifespan of Classic, you guys have consistently shown that the classic community is the step child of WoW and people are already upset about feeling forgotten and left to deal the things you can't be bothered to fix for us. If this is poorly implemented, you're going to lose ALOT of subs over it.
