Do you consider rogue a good dps in pve?

Rogues are the king of DPS and are the model Blizzard uses to base other classes DPS on.
Warlock DPS is also great, but I would go with either 0/21/40 nuke spec (gear permitting) or Affliction/Destruction for PvE.

Warlocks are rogue do both bring alot to the table. Both rogues and warlocks have been known to destroy everything in dps, it all depends on your play style and spec i suppose. The exact same goes for hunters as well.

I am a tank and I don't mind melee, but I can see how some tanks would say that for 5 mans. It is more because there are a lot of noob melee players that can't control their aggro.
Another good thing about a non caster is if you want to do a really fast run and only the healer has mana, there is only 1 person to wait on to drink.

I would just like to say that a lot of blame gets shifted on rogues because of the 10% rule for melee. Warriors (DPS) used to have similar problems, which was worse before the latest sweep of patches. I would say good Enhancement shaman in 5-man content seem to have taken over as the aggro-hogs for melee.
Rogues have interesting & important ways to shed their threat mid-fight. The 100/110/130 rule makes this all the more fun.

My main is a rogue, but a lot of time people don't want rogues. While, yes, we tend to be the KING of dps, some people don't like our CC all too much, and, from my experience, ranged dps is more wanted, for certain bosses because of melee-range aoe damage.
I personally enjoy rogue veryy much.
