I can't wait for 3D model!(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##asakawa##DELIM##

Allowing players to use this mount in battlegrounds would be problematic, to say the least. This will completely negate the safe location of the blacksmith in Arathi Basin, surrounded by water. The worst thing is that every player will need to get this mount to be viable in certain PvP situations, regardless of their interest in either PvP or PvE.

It's a cool idea though, and I'm looking forward to getting one of these myself :)

Edit: and it turns out I was right! Too bad I got downvoted so many times xD

Reminds me of that one level that I hated so much on Super Mario 64...

EDIT: I guess no on here has played Super Mario 64 O_o I am referring to a level named "Wet-Dry World" in which "Skeeters" would glide across the top of the water with the sole purpose of making your life a living hell.

Also:

This mount goes out to all the people who have to put up with lazy Deathknights who don't use Path of Frost. Especially during Arathi Basin. :)

This mount was changed to no longer work in Battlegrounds. I swear, Blizz must really not like Alliance.(##RESPBREAK##)12##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##

This Strider is cool, but it is surely an imposter!

But I am the real Strider, fortunately. I am Aragorn son of Arathorn; and if by life or death I can save you, I will.”

... The Real Strider

After some research and brain storming, here is my best guess at how to obtain this mount:

This mount requires that you are exalted with The Anglers and will cost 5,000g not including discounts. It will be sold by the Quartermaster 내트 페이글 in the 크라사랑 밀림. Here are some discounts that I can think of:

Angler's Exalted discount: -1,000g
Guild perk 교환 거래: -500g

It looks like we will be getting this mount for about 3,500g. Please keep in mind that MoP is still in Beta so the price and how to obtain it is subject to change. I will keep this post updated as the beta progresses.

Here are the other mounts:

진홍색 소금쟁이 고삐
황금색 소금쟁이 고삐
비취 소금쟁이 고삐
주황색 소금쟁이 고삐

UPDATE: 하늘색 소금쟁이 고삐 now states "This mount can walk on water in non-battleground areas." If this is true for that color, then it will be true for the other colors. =(

Sold by Nat Pagle, The Anglers Quartermaster, at the Anglers Wharf in Krasarang Wilds. Requires Exalted with The Anglers. Base cost (before rep/perk reductions) 5,000 gold (http://www.elsanglin.com/images/?i=angler_shen_fishing_raft_full.jpg).

Would be cool if you could actually fish without having to dismount it.

If this mount is allowed in Battlegrounds, it will feel mandatory to many players who min/max. I know I wouldn't be caught dead without one.

Please let me fish on it :O

Worth noting: this mount requires Artisan Riding currently, so if you don't have it and you want the mount, you should save up now.

Finally, a reliable method of beating the Horde to BS in Arathi Basin.

I'm curious whether or not this mount will cause you to receive falling damage when falling into water. Granted it doesn't happen often while mounted, it might be something to keep in mind.

One of five mounts which are reward for gaining Exalted with The Anglers, here are all of them

Looks like we will be able to fish from it, since it is fishing faction. (It is just my opinion)
Hope this helps.

EDIT: We can't...... well that's sad

This mount can be use in the old continents (Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms, Northrend and Outland)?

As of right now...this is the only Water Strider mount in the game...the other 4 disappeared to parts unknown.

Corveroth의 댓글

Only the 하늘색 소금쟁이 고삐 are in-game, through Exalted reputation with The Anglers in Krasarang Wilds.

The other four colors of this mount, though available from the same vendor during beta, are currently unavailable.

Make sure to /mountspecial on this. One of the most interesting I have seen yet!

Sorry for maybe asking stupid question but can someone tell me if this can be mounted on shore or it's strictly only water?

jaxsonbateman의 댓글

I realised its use - alts! While it's virtually useless for any lv 90 character with flying (as virtually any non-instanced place you could use it, you could use a flying mount and achieve the same effect), for pre-60 Azeroth characters, and pre-90 toons in Pandaria the ability to walk on water is actually very handy at times.

So make it your go-to mount for any alts you level.

This mount has a bug. Dismounting this always interrupts any casts.
Casting mining is interrupted when I click a mining node with riding this.
This bug is so annoying.

R1NN1의 댓글

I can confirm that it can be casted on the GROUND!

I was unsure about if it can be casted on ground after reading comments here, so here is the confirmation.

Received it today after 3-4 weeks of grinding The Anglers reputation. So awesome. One of the best ground mounts I have ever had!

The only bug that it seems to have is that it disrupts casts after dismounting. Note that at the Arenas or so. But not really a big deal.

I haven't seen this in any of the other posts so I thought I would mention that if you swim while on this mount you can breath underwater. I'm not sure if this is a glitch or intended since the mount itself and the mount icon do not mention underwater breathing.

I love this mount so much and use it constantly on my alts. I am constantly hitting the Spacebar (/mountspecial) while on it. Probably one of my favorite ground mounts other than my 까마귀 군주의 고삐. :D

I love the special emote for it:)

This is an INCREDIBLY useful mount to have in your account. Low level alts needing to go through Thousand Needles will adore this mount.

I have found sometimes it likes to 'fall through' the water at certain points but otherwise it works pretty well.

My only gripe is that it does tend to make 'bug noises' a lot to the point I end up turning sound off for a bit.

This really is, in my mind, the best none flying mount you can get.

1 - Its got such a unique design. Not another horse or wolf or kodo remake, its a freaking giant bug, that stands up straight when you do mount special, so its adorable

2 - This mount is the best mount for anyone leveling. Before learning flying skill, 1-60, this cuts down time a lot, since we can run across bodies of water in zones like tanaris or thousend needles, and the water walking doesn't break when you take a hit either.

3 - Did I mention its a giant bug?

This is, without a doubt, the BEST ground mount you can have on your account. Not only does it look awesome and has a funny /mountspecial, the fact it walks over water (even if you take damage) means while leveling any character before you can actually fly, nothing else compares to it.
Even shamans and dks with there water walking ability breaks on damage, but this little guy just keeps going.

glyneth의 댓글

Received a minor nerf in 5.3 - if you take damage while on water, you drop down into the water and cannot get back above the water without dismounting/remounting. Even running onto land and back onto the water will not put you back on top.

:(

If you get hit riding on this mount it loses the ability to walk on water. This is annoying

MoarHeroisms의 댓글

Sound files were added for its /mountspecial animation in Patch 5.4, making it even more adorable.

"This mount can walk on water in non-battleground areas." The mount walks on water in Wintergrasp during the Wintergrasp battle. It's not a battleground like the others but it's considered a battleground if you read the text from this quest 겨울손아귀에서의 승리 ("Win a Wintergrasp battleground match and return to Tactical Officer Abrahmis in Wintergrasp").

This mount will give us a cool edge if Blizzard really goes through with the *no mount in Draenor until 6.1* scenario. Let's hope they won't deactivate it's waterwalking in the new continent!

781411의 댓글

Apologies if this was already noted, but if you're a HUNTER, you don't need to grind rep to get this mount! Go the lake area north of "Temple of the Red Crane" and located a Felstrider (Water strider) & Tame it. Then activate "Surface Trot" (specific action of pet), and you're now able to walk on water.

Note if you're wanting this to get the big shark on Timeless Island, make sure you have "Aspect of the Cheetah" on so you can keep up with it.

AntonisLak의 댓글

I don't know if it's already noted but if you fall while mounted, then you can r.i.p.
Anyway, this is one of the most usefull mounts outhere and a must have for everyone's collection, got it today and it's amazing :)).

I, sometimes, have noticed myself swimming through the water instead of walking on top of it. Jumping up doesn't always work...

Simply dismount and remount. It should work again.

Pypode의 댓글

One of the first action I took was to make it jump over a log. It does an hilarious pose instead of jumping. It may be my new comic favorite since Ruthers the bad yak.

WokkaD의 댓글

Be careful when you drop onto water riding this mount.
It's like dropping onto hard ground.

natv의 댓글

Too bad they changed it so it un-mounts you if you get damage... they should have called this a "spell" then, rather than a "mount" :/
