This mount is the reward for Alliance players upon completing the Mount Parade achievement.

Horde players will get Armored Red Dragonhawk instead.

Glad they did different versions for both factions and at least put some armor on the dragonhawks, and not just made simple recolors, like the Kites from the 150 mounts achievement.

correct viohard this is the reward for obtaining 200 mounts, there are a blue and a red version.

now im assuming being alliance rewards the blue and horde awards the red.

Mount Parade now states it is the reward for getting 200 mounts, Alliance-side. Clear cache if not showing up :)

I was excited that they were going to add an achieve for 200 mounts. Considering this achievement is quite a feat, you would think they would give us collectors something more than an armored version of the dragonhawks. Albino Drake, Dragonhawk, Kite, and now another mediocre mount for my collection.

I know I can't be the only one who feels like this, but it seems like Blizzard really doesn't put much into these mount achieves. Getting 200 mounts from 1 side is quite and achievement, and in my opinion the reward just seems like it was rushed. It could be worse, I know, they could have neglected the achievement, and gave us nothing. Albino Drake, and the Jade Kite I did not like particularly, but I did the like Dragonhawk from 100, but giving us a 2nd just seems like a slap in the face.

The mounts themselves have gone through some iterations since the PTR, a few changes with the spikes and our actual animation when sitting on them.

Overall, I adore these new mounts and wish people the best of luck with obtaining them.

You know, this looks remarkably similar to a mount I suggested and described almost 2 years ago... right here on Wowhead on the Red Dragonhawk mount page.

"I think the next Dragonhawk they add should be an Albino Dragonhawk. And I don't mean like the Albino Drake with the blue-green scales and orange wing membrane... I mean a proper white and gold albino: a pearly-white for the body and inner wings (where the red dragonhawk is yellow), and a pale gold for the wings edges, with red-orange eyes. And if you really wanted to make it look different, give it some matching armor and an actual saddle."

I originally suggested it to be a Horde only mount considering that the Alliance has nothing to do with Dragonhawks... interesting that this mount appeared as an Alliance exclusive...

i think the next reward needs to be something really unique instead of another dragonhawk. I'm thinking something that comes with a quirky feature or is just unique in general. Like a 2-seater mount modeled after the Bomber Planes of WoW,(though that might fare better as an engineering mount) or maybe a mount that has a feature about it such as the airplane being able to shoot fireworks out of the gun, or a lorewalker cloud disc that can change the weather to rain/snow/etc in the cloud under it. Just something unique! it could even be a ground mount for all i care, as long as it's a new or unique model with maybe a cool effect and not a cheap, lazy re-skin.
