Works as follows.

- Rune of Re-Origination – 1.012 RealPPM on landing harmful abilities and spells, and melee/ranged abilities and swings. 22 sec ICD

We're going to make some changes to this trinket based on testing and feedback. Our goal was to make it decent if you didn't game it at all but offer some opportunities for enhanced benefits if you did. We're going to try to meet that goal better with these changes:

- 10 sec duration (down from 20 sec) but with double the proc rate.
- Increase your highest secondary stat by 200% of the sum of your two lowest secondary stats. For example: you have 3500 mastery, 5000 crit, 7000 haste. Rune procs, and you get . Same logic as before, just double the size of the buff to your highest stat.

Q: Is the ICD still 22 seconds with the "new" version?
A: Yes. We considered lowering that to match, but held off on that for now.

The proc frequency changes based on the ilvl of the trinket:

541 ilevel = 112.88% proc multiplier
535 ilevel = 106.74% proc multiplier
528 ilevel = 100.00% proc multiplier
522 ilevel = 94.56% proc multiplier
502 ilevel = 78.49% proc multiplier
463 ilevel = 54.57% proc multiplier

- Proc rate multiplied by 0.1 for non-agility specs. Proc rate multiplied by 0.25 against player controlled units. Proc rate multiplied by 1/(1.15^((528-ItemLevel)/15) for the various Item Level versions of the trinket.

This counts for both Unerring Vision and Rune of Re-Origination.

Ghostcrawler explaining how this trinket works:

Warning: technical mumbo jumbo follows.

At proc time, it checks how much crit, haste, and mastery you have (yes, this is a snapshot, and does NOT include the mastery raid buff). It finds which is the highest of those 3 (tie breaking rule: crit trumps haste trumps mastery), and gives you a buff of + to your highest stat, and - and -. For example, if you have 6000 mastery, 3000 crit, 2000 haste, and the proc goes off, it gives you a buff that provides . It does not continue adjusting that buff as stats change during its duration. Yes, this means that if you have a temporary buff to a stat that is not your highest (even with the temporary buff), and that temporary buff falls off during Re-Origination, you *could* end up with negative rating. In this obscure edge case, negative crit does reduce your crit chance, negative mastery does reduce whatever it normally does, and negative haste is ignored.

I want this trinket on my priest who is named Origination. And, yes, that's the ONLY reason I want it. I have the Book of Origination sitting in the bank for just this purpose. I like things with the same name as my character.

This appears to be BIS for Cobat Rogue at I 502 range. Just picked it up today off Raid Finder. Anyone with more info please discuss.

If you've planned your stats, and rely on the boosted stat when it procs;
Beware of the weapon enchant Windsong. The crit/haste/mastery procs will ruin your stat balance, and change your proc, if it pushes a secondary stat past your highest one.
(This goes for any other stat procs as well, but Windsong was the only one I had to worry about, and is fairly common.)

this trinket sucks yo whats the point of removing all your crit and giving you haste, crit is where all the damage comes from hahaha already seen so many noobs with this\
EDIT: now that i have had a chance to dps with this.. thing ,i can say that it provides no dps boost whatsoever you are wayy better off getting Renataki's Soul Charm otherwise dont even bother wearing it

BM Hunters: There are several trinkets better than this for you, this one is really terrible for us in terms that each time it procs it basically destroys your pets DPS. I was able to burst to 130 but was down to under 100K within 30 seconds and it just kept dropping, at 507 ilvl. Now if you have mastery as your highest stat, which most of us do not, perhaps this is a decent item?

I'm not saying this is a bad trinket for others, but suffice to say, as a BM hunter, dealing with 0 mastery every few seconds during a raid battle is a disaster. Bypass this trinket and go with others.

I can see this working for a Windwalker Monk.
As you generally need to hit an energy regen softcap, your Haste will be floating around the same as your Mastery. As Mastery provides no benefit whatsoever without Tigereye Brew and the damage of it is taking off of your current mastery, this could be badass for burst.

(Windwalker Mastery increases damage for Tigereye Brew (our main base cooldown)

Having this trinket proc, using Tigereye Brew and then removing the trinket buff will cause almost double burst damage.

I love the blue proc effect so much that I wish there would be an option to mog trinket proc effects to other trinkets.
