Hopefully this will be a cheaper enchant that just about every class can use at the beginning of the expansion when all enchanting mats are obscenely expensive.

I hope that the highest stat is always chosen--if so it would be both great for DPS and the best chant for ~~DK and~~ Druid tanks--finally a mast proc over dodge.

I hope it does go to the highest stat, cause as an enhancement shaman i stack haste and crit, but my haste is usually a bit higher so like gaining 1.5k haste rating would be mad, i have weps that swing at 2.8 speed, but in combat it drops to 1.8 speed, and then 0.5 speed with my flurry and windfury totem as well as enchant procs. and i curently have 30% crit. need more crit at the moment, but with my swing speed it dont matter to much

Windsong is the related haste buff.
Windsong is the related mastery buff.
Windsong is the related crit buff.

Currently on the Beta, it is possible to have all 3 buffs active at once.

Just for those wondering, at present, maintaining all 3 buffs simultaneously is doable (atleast as a Fire mage).
On the target dummy, I rarely ever see any of the three fall off as they appear to refresh themselves quite often.

This enchant is freaking amazing atm, you pretty much keep all 3 effects up at all times, so it's virtually the next best thing to 4500 worth of passive combat ratings.

Dot Ticks proc it's effects, the effects look to have a reasonably high proc chance, and there seems to be no ICD (Buffs renew themselves before they fall off), so it may be a bit better for classes that can farm procs off a ton of dots then those with more strait forward damage delivery.

Worth noting that this enchant, as of beta build 15916 is proccing off of Healing as well as damaging spells. The tooltip now reflects Healing's interaction with this.

This then gives healers a second enchant to consider aside from Jade Spirit. So once regen becomes more stable, healers will have a throughput focused enchant.

Arguably, healers might prefer this over Jade Spirit regardless of potential regen as this enchant provides substantial throughput.

River's Song: 4 RPPM on melee attacks that land, or are dodged, or parried.
Dancing Steel: 2.3 RPPM on melee attacks that land.
Colossus: 6 RPPM on melee attacks that land, or are dodged, or parried, with a 3-second cooldown.
Elemental Force: 10 RPPM on damage or spell damage/healing
Jade Spirit: 2 RPPM on spell damage or healing, 50-second cooldown.
Windsong: 2 RPPM on damage, or spell damage/healing.

Edit: As of 10/15/12, Windsong and Elemental Force now proc on all damage and healing, including melee, ranged, direct and DoT.

They now trigger on the new "Real Procs Per Minute" (RPPM) system, which is weapon speed and instant attack independent and fully detailed in this blue post.

Edit 2: As of patch 5.1 Dancing Steel, Jade Spirit, River's Song, and Colossus are on the RPPM system also.

Definitely does not proc often for shadow priests, seeing as it seems to only proc off of direct damage.
Over a couple of hours of heroic grinding, I've seen it proc maybe 7 or 8 times, feels as though power torrent would be a better alternative if Jade Spirit isn't available.

Edit: Proc has been changed. Procs VERY often for DoT/HoT-users now.

Gonna scale nicely with haste. I know it's been said below, but i'll just TLDR it

-VERY low ICD. 1 second.
-You can have all three effects of Windsong active at once (Haste, Mastery, Crit)
-Subsequent procs can refresh the current effects of Windsong.
-The duration of each individual proc effect is 10 seconds. Each stat that is affected is treated as a seperate proc (You will have three buffs active at once if you proc all 3)
-This enchant does not proc with dots - just direct damage.

Updated: Blizz claims to have fixed the Windsong bug for hot/dot classes. Lots of info at that link on how the proc will work, though it should boil down to "2*Haste Windsong procs ... per enchant per minute". They say this is a new proc system, that they're excited to see how it works out, and that they "welcome feedback", so... you know what to do!

Old post: This enchant is currently a garbagy pile of garbage for dot- and hot-based classes.

Resto druids, shadow priests, affliction locks, beware. This does NOT proc off of periodic damage or healing. In my recent, personal experience, over the course of a 3 hour raid, each of these 3 classes had fewer than 20 total procs. That's 1 proc every 10 minutes...

Unfortunately for dmg dealers, Elemental Force also doesn't proc off of periodic dmg. As far as I can tell, DoT and HoT classes should still be using Cata enchants, until we get the rep for the Jade Spirit.

Blizzard is "aware of the issue and currently working on a fix".

Currently, Oct 10, 2012, it DOES proc off HoTs and DoTs. Perhaps they fixed it. They were aware of its issues.

It was procing off my Renewing Mists, tested on a Warlockwith DoTs and it continued to proc on that character as well.

Excellent tank enchant for prot pallies and brewmaster monks.

Prot pallies because mastery is always sexy and haste allows for more HoPo generation through Sanctity of Battle (more SoR and WoG) crit is a teensy bit more threat but otherwise unimportant.

Brewmasters love crit and haste for shuffle/EB and a little more mastery is always nice.

Second Wind, the passive warrior healing talent, which heals for 3% of maximum life whenever below 35% health procs this weapon enchant

The beautiful soft yellow glow of the enchant effect is a welcome change from some of the more gaudy enchants like Enchant Weapon - Power Torrent. The only oddity is that there is a small blue spot in the center that spits out snowflakes.

Just had a thought, as a Disc priest, does Atonement double the proc rate, due to the fact that you're damaging and healing at the same time? I'm getting a really high rate on mine atm, buffed by at least one almost all the time during an encounter.

Just a note: since 5.4 patch, you can put this enchant (or any other, like Jade Spirit) on your heirloom weapons.
The weird thing is, for me, on my 57 disc priest, the enchant will never proc if i heal. On the other hand, if dpsing, it procs constantly.
Haven't tried what's up at max level with this enchant.

Conclusion:
Don't get this enchant if you're planning on healing at low levels.

I would say, it is MUCH cheaper and no worse when compared to dancing steel, for retribution paladin.
