I really do not understand why anyone would want a 300 spirit trinket when you can get a 300 intellect trinket. I mean Intellect is just a more valuable asset at the moment, with it you gain several things.

1. Your maximum mana cap goes up, affecting all % based mana regeneration spells such as innervate , Hymn of hope, etc.
2. You get critical strike each 1% critical increases healing by .6% that's not calculating the individual bonuses to each healer class such as Priest Inspiration for 10% less physical damage.
3. You get mana regain also, yes a lot less then what you get from Spirit but it is an added bonus to the lot.
4. You get spell power which increases your healing also. With my current gear i have 6000 spell power a 285 Intellect trinket boosts my spell power by close to 5%. With it boosting my healing by depending on what each healing spell ratio of gaining spell power is by 1-5%

Why they equate the value of Intellect which they made a primary stat with spirit which is a secondary stat and can be reforged in trinkets i have no idea.

After a week's worth of grinding I've finally gotten my own Mandala's.

Ran a small test since I noticed the lack of procs, no deep math included, but safe to assume there is an ICD for the trinket, never seen a back to back proc. The procrate should be around 0.75 PPM.

Again, there is no deep math involved, anyone interested in conclusive evidence should run their own test, this is only a small peek into what this trinket promises.

Base mastery I currently have is 16% (symbiosis), when it procs mastery skyrockets to 29%. Critical regrowth hits for about 14k, up from 11k.

The proc is called Pattern of Light and it looks like the Gift of Naaru symbol.

After a couple heroic dungeons and spamming myself for ten minutes straight I got the ICD at about 50 seconds.
I used the addon Procula to determine this. PPM was about 0.9 to 1.

I've run some basic numbers, for a resto druid, based on EJ forums. YMMV.

1 point of spirit gives 0.00836 * SQRT(Int) mp5.

My druid's got 4921 int unbuffed. So 321 spirit = 188 mp5.

1926 mastery, 1 PPM, lasts for 10 seconds = approx 15% uptime, or effectively 289 mastery.

There are better options for regen, and better options for throughput - but this is an effective compromise, if mastery's good for you.

Healers rejoice! As of patch 4.0.6, if it stays on the PTR, this will grant an intellect proc instead of mastery!

Picked this up on my disc priest in preparation for the buffing next patch and did some testing. This was just about an hour of testing total, so not conclusive by any means, but I wanted to provide some info that was lacking here.

- Proc rate seems moderate at best, my tear of blood which only procs on healing crits (13% crit rate, 30% reported proc rate) usually procced before this in the initial set.

- Did not proc from renew.

- For shadow did not proc from VE or devouring plague heals.

In the end I was disapointed, the combined effects of a short duration and ICD, a low proc rate, and not procing from hot ticks leads me to believe you will see a very low up time. This may improve in actual healing situations where multi-target heals are used if it has a chance to proc off of each target.

That said even with a low uptime, the ability to time this with shadowfiend come next patch should put this ahead of 346 options in my book, even if it lags behind the other 359s.

I struggle to see what exactly this trinket offers for Holy Paladins. Even though the spirit is attractive, the Int proc rate and duration pretty much makes this useless (I cast around 35 heals and it proc'd 3 times . . .)

It would be much better if this were a Use: Increases your Intellect by 1926 for 20 sec. (2 min cooldown) as it could then be used as a HPS increase CD.

Currently I am using Figurine - Dream Owl and Figurine - Jeweled Serpent, so this really isn't a worthwhile upgrade.

Obviously if you don't have a better trinket then this would be beneficial.

BiS for resto druids combined with innervate - regenwise ofc!
This trinket is a godsend for resto druids, when this baby procs i get almost 50% more mana (100k to 145k) and with innervate returning 20% of your current maximum mana you are now able to get an extra 10k mana.

After 4.0.6 with the Mastery to intellect change this trinket does start to look interesting.

First understand that when Blizzard designed most of the 359 trinkets they were designed to have 321 static value of one stat with a secondary effect that should be equivalent to 321 value of another stat for example Core of Ripeness has 321 int and an equivalent 321 spirit if you factor in the cool down (1926/6=321). Some wiggle room is added to factor in ramp up time and RNG procs. While this really isn't really accurate in actual application it is simplest and quickest way to compare the different procs on other healer trinkets that would be hard to quantify.

For comparison sake this trinket is a 321 spirit trinket with a 321 int proc while the majority of the other healer trinkets are 321 int with 321 spirit proc.

However I don't think I would use this trinket over any of the static 321 Int trinkets for a few reasons.

Static int is typically more beneficial that static spirit giving you constant regen from replenishment and a boost to crit and spellpower.
Spirit procs never get wasted as long as you are not at full mana, While Int procs are much more situational to take advanatage of

But the Int proc does has it advantages if used with a few mana cooldowns
The int proc offers 32,488 more mana with Kings/Mark, Armor Specialization, and Ember Meta
With the bigger mana pool you should get.
6.5k more mana per innervate (another 3.25k if you are glyphed and innervate others)
3,899 more mana per unglyphed Divine Plea
5,845 more mana per glyphed Divine Plea
975 more mana per shadow fiend attack

also a Resto Shaman might find the static spirit more beneficial than spirit procs because of the new 4.0.6 Mana tide.

however, as a resto shaman, I prefer Tear of Blood(static int+ proc spirit,which works similarly like Fall of Mortality and Darkmoon Card:Tsunami) rather than this one.
first, its proc chance is really,really low, and sometimes it even takes more time than an icd to trigger first proc.Remember, this proc will not often come when you need.
second,under non-combat condition, Mandala grants me 10000 more mana during 15s mana-tide than Tear of Blood, which can be easily saved with better mana management, and a static int will help.

During our Nefarian fight, I found that healers' mana level greatly based on the FREQUENCY OF BURST HEALS(in other words, low HPM spells like greater heal/flash heal) in these stressful fight. Dependent on tank's gear and healer's spellpower,haste and crit, whether tank's(or other healing receiver) health can be maintained at a safe value by regular heal(high HPM spells like Riptide and Healing Wave) determines how frequently healer should use burst heals to increase target health back to a safe value. Static int does that, in a long-term fight which is mostly kept in control.

If int proc is right in time(proc chance*chance you get in trouble?), then why not try to manage you mana and tank's health before it gets out of control? If int proc is not in time, then believe me, it will not save mana cost of a single Healing Wave in 10s. And Divine Plea, if you waste proc int on a 50%heal reduce cost, why not use these mana to cast one more heal spell?

As for proc spirit, if you don't have full mana, then it will never get wasted(therefore there is no best time for spirit bonus, then why choose those "use spirit" trinket with cooldown much longer than proc icd?); if you have, then why are you choosing healing trinket here?

The +int proc is pretty darn awesome for disc priests. I just did a boss fight in H SFK and ended up with a total of 155k mana running with MotW, HoH, shadowfiend (not a +int increaser, I know, but still relevant because shadowfiend mana returns are based on a total percentage of your mana) and this buff. Considering I normally have just over 97k mana with MotW, this is pretty impressive. :)

I have been trying this out vs. using the Heroic Tear of Blood Tear of Blood on my resto druid. (My other trink is the Vibrant Alchemist's Stone Vibrant Alchemist Stone) With the change to int instead of spirit proc this does increase my max mana when it procs, but since it does not scale up your available mana, the only impact of the proc is to increase spellpower and regen from increased int, not mana available for healing. In other words, when this procs I go from 50k out of 105K mana to 50K out of 150K mana. The higher mana pool from the Tear and the spirit proc for additional regen seem to me to make that a better healing trink than this. Yes, increasing spellpower by 2K periodically does decrease the need to cast as many heals, but I'd rather start out with a larger mana pool.

I have been contemplating reforging this to make it a 193 Spirit and 128 Haste or Mastery trink. I'm thinking it might be more useful to have 128 haste or mastery than the little bit of regen I would get from that much spirit. Has anybody reforged this?

I'm trying this trinket now on my A/A Disc Priest. And so far its been worth it.
One proc and you can use Archangel, Rapture, and sometimes Arcane Torrent for a nice mana boost. If mana is Ok, then you can throw out some tuned shields.
Shadowfiend and Hymn of Hope are both fairly boosted if used on procs.

Seems to be fine with Shadow too, since Spirit turns into Hit Rating, and the Intel proc is great for some CDs like Archangel and Shadowfiend. Using SW: Death should grant you good mana too, as long as your current mana is kept when the proc ends.

I reforged mine to fit my uses, since Spirit is not a main Stat either for Disc and Shadow.

Seems like a weak proc for anyone besides a paladin. 1926 Int, so around 1926 SP for 10 seconds. It should be around 15 seconds I would think. The 352 PVP trinket gives 1520 SP for 20 seconds...it just seems abit off.

The only reason its so good for paladins is Proc + Divine Plea (18% total mana) + Arcane Torrent (6% total mana) is alot of mana regained.

Has anyone tried this trinket on a Destro Warlock? I've not gone through the talents/spells which self-heal, but that Int proc would be a great boost. The Spirit could be reforged to haste to allow that to contribute too.

Some of the comments below may seem confusing. To clarify, before 4.0.6 this trinket gave a proc for Mastery, and was considered a pretty terrible healing trinket. Now it gives intellect and, well, it's pretty rad. Curious, does the proc also occur for damage spells? Tear of blood has a similiar effect and i've found even tho it says healing spells it procced plenty of times on damage too. I'll be testing this tomorrow with my balance spec.

I ran a few Heroics with this trinket on my holy pally to test it.

1- The proc rate was too low.
2- 10 seconds is too short-. (Combined with the fact that it does not proc often, the given 10 seconds make this trinket useless)
3- Gives you a great a mount of spirit but... would you really choose spirit over intel? Not me.

The pro: Made me realize how much I need Tear of Blood!

Bottom line is I rather have static intel over static spirit anytime. I gear for spirit then haste WHEN intel is included.
As a holy pally you want to have as much intel as possible permanently. This trinket unfortunately fails to provide us with that security (which allows us holy pallys, to walk with our heads up!). Intel also gives us SP and Crit and you feel the lack of it when wearing this trink as opposed to something like Tear of Blood

I don't know which class would benefit from this trink but for a holy pally it's a no-no-nope... get a mount instead!

Issue at 4.1 (at least for Disc Priests w/ PW:S) is it is causing the spell to cost more.

This post shows a Disc priest that encountered the recurring issue where his PW:S has started to cost 30% total mana roughly when the trinket is procing off Shield cast. Happens in and out of combat.

If you're a Disc priest, and wanting this, I'd suggest keeping an eye of bug fixes before you invest into it, for the time being, and probably wouldn't hurt to see if this issues have been popping up for any others for the other healing classes.

Repeating my comment made on the alliance version of this trinket:

Raises your maximum mana by 28890 (15 * 1926). However two classes who will use this item have a way in which to gain more mana/intellect than normal. Also, this trinket's intellect proc gives ~3% critical strike chance.

In addition, nearly - if not all - classes who can use this trinket have some way of reaping additional mana regeneration from it. They are as follows:

Druid

Paladin

Divine Plea and Glyph of Divine Plea
Lay on Hands ONLY IF you have the Glyph of Divinity

Priest

Shaman do note that as these benefits are confined to the elemental spec, this should only be used for lack of a dps trinket

Races

And, of course, the raid-wide buff everyone loves

Replenishment

This list is only for the purpose of listing classes who receive additional benefit from the intellect proc on this trinket this is NOT saying any of the classes mentioned should or should not use it; that is not the purpose of this post!
