I did some testing on the Test Realm, this seems to provide roughly 100 dps more than Sigil of Awareness for Frost (tested on a double desease OB rotation, 12/51/08).

However, it seems it brings out the same amount of dps to Unholy as the above mentioned sigil.

I didn't test it as Blood yet.

yea im kinda sad... i havent run test myself but it seems that this sigil provides more dps than VH if it effected Death Strike (for blood). Using Ob diseaseless is ~2k-4k less dmg than using DS diseaseless (well it doesnt matter but, using it at the same time of the rotation, 1 strike every 20sec that is death strike diseaseless in the blood rotation) replaced by OB to get the proc from the sigil perhaps? Even so its only a 80% chance.. sigh

im gonna buy it when i can, in good faith it should change to death strike or a bugged tooltip (like Mjolnir Runestone)

The 9 set bonus is almost identical to this, but it is only 180 strength for 15 seconds and it is activated by heart strike and blood strike.

Costs 25 emblems of triumph. This sigil sims as significantly superior to awareness and vengeful heart for unholy and frost specced DKs.

The answer is mostly quite obvious with the proc rate being 80% but... Does this thing have internal CD? I'm assuming 45 second one, but anyone know for sure?

Edit: Confirmed ICD of 10 seconds. As DW Frost DK running GoDisease priority rotation it's easy to play around this CD to ensure 100% uptime, not that it's usually even needed.

The proc rate is 80% with NO internal CD, that means in a normal rotation you will have a 100% uptime on the 200str

I attacked the boss target dummy for 6 mins straight, the buff never fell off and the buff stacks with your FC buff, they don't conflict, same name but different icons so you can see them both up at the same time easily and calculated properly.

I'd say definitely more valuable than vengeful heart.

I just picked this up earlier tonight and this proc almost every Scourge Strike. This sigil fits extremely well with DMC: Greatness.

Just to confirm what others have said, this trinket does not work on Death Strike.

It has an approximate ~80% chance to proc off an SS/Oblit, and has a 10 second ICD.
The uptime is ~95% for Unholy for a sustained dps encounter.

I think this would be better overall for any tank than Awareness. The 200 strength is going to boost all of your offensive abilities and add a respectable amount of parry rating due to forceful deflection.

If death strike (mainly used by blood speced DK) isn't included among the abilities that trigger this effect, it is probably because of the new T9 2 pieces bonus which is obviously blood spec oriented. I know Frost and unholy specs include Blood strike in their rotation but not as often as a blood spec dk uses HS.
Now the question is : is this buff stackable with the one from the T9 set or will we see something like "a more powerful spell is already active" when the bonus spell is triggered while sigil of virulence's unholy strenght is active ?

This sigil makes you wonder if Blizz wants Blood DKs to spec into Annihilation in frost tree and don't bother with using Death Strike anymore. Question is if this will out-DPS Necrosis and Blood -caked Blade from Unholy. In all fairness Death Strike should be added to it.

Fantastic for every spec but Blood so far. This is the best sigil you can nab at the moment. It has a very high proc rate, so it is nearly -always- up, and because Fallen Crusader is via percentage (15%) it also effects how much STR that gives you as well.

Factor in that strength contributes to ALL of our abilities, including auto attack, not just "obliterate" or "frost strike", etc, and this is absolutely beautiful.

An added bonus is that this can proc off the off-hand strike if you have Threat of Thassarian, which means that if your main hand attack doesn't proc it, this may.

Hope that helps if you're debating on what Sigil to use.

The animation for the proc is the same as the animation for Darkmoon Card: Greatness or a stamina scroll. (The bird popping up over your head for a second or two)

I'm wondering if this sigil is superior to Sigil of Awareness for a blood DK tank, when it comes to threat on not-so-hard-hitting bosses.. It aint mentioned in Ensidia's guide..

Have anyone actually tried to calculate this or read it somewhere else?

I finally picked this up today and let me tell you, no DK DPS should be without this. I had a lucky run of procs (this, Mirror of Truth, Pyrite Infuser, and the t9 2 set bonus) and I had 9.6K AP with my only buff being Horn of Winter. In a long boss fight it'll be a piece of cake to keep at least the 2 set bonus and Sigil of Virulence's bonus up. Awesome sigil now that it includes Death Strike.

Conclusion
It is as we have suspected from the start, the two sigils are very close to each other when looking at a single target fight with no movement. Sigil of Virulence wins by 16 DPS in these calculations, but they do not include all the variables that exist in a raiding environment and I am unsure how they would affect either sigil. Do keep in mind that Sigil of Virulence scales with haste, hit beyond melee hit cap and special debuffs that increase magic damage (F.ex fires at Hodir) whereas Sigil of Awareness does not.

==> so I prefer my sigil of virulence

I have to admit I have been a fool for removing this and going for the hanged man sigil. The difference off having this +200 strength proc and the hanged man proc is significant. It goes to show that choosing your gear through research is always better than just getting higher level items.

When did the proc go away and why does the gem I put in it keep disappearing? I've gemmed it twice and both gems disappeared after logging out and back in.
