I agree that raiding shadow priests need a bit of glyph love, it seems like most of our really cool glyphs are for healing.

This one is the only one that would help our damage, the mindflay one helps with utility and the SW:P one is poorly implemented since we have pain and suffering.

If you think about Shadow Weaving and Darkness and then on top of that add in another 10% to the already extra 20% damage your shadow spells deal from talents then this glyph has a much larger impact then a meer extra 10% damage. Assuming that you cast spells such as Shadow Word Pain and Mind Flay to get your target below 35% the Shadow Vunerability buff would have easily stacked 5 times resulting in an extra 20% damage taken from Shadow Word Death (10% Shadow Vunerability, 10% Glyph)

Looking at Masochism (8% mana each SW:D cast), Pain and Suffering (40% reduced damage from SW:D), and Mind Melt (25% increased damage of SW:D)

This Glyph is INSANELY attractive for a PvP Shadow Priest.

Get them to 25% health, and spam this to:
Gain damn near all your mana back (Furthermore if coupled with Glyph of Spirit Tap
Heal yourself with Vampiric Embrace
Last but not least, murder them

Yep, however I don't see it being spammable, at least not for long, that would be pretty imbalanced, I'd say you'll only be able to use it twice, I don't think the glyph will affect the second shadow word death. That said, two SW:D's in a row is pretty amazing.

Confirmed over and over - this appears to have the same 6 second cooldown as the other similar glyphs. Still pretty incredible

This is quite better now that they reduced SW:D dmg when the target is not on 25% (or less).

Prevents us from suiciding :P

While the reading of the description of the glyph is:

If your Shadow Word: Death fails to kill the target at or below 25% health, your Shadow Word: Death's cooldown is instantly reset. This effect cannot occur more often than once every 6 sec.

Note the phrase "instantly reset".

I have the Spirit tap glyph, so I normally try to end the fight with a SW:D spell to get the spirit buff. Of course, once in awhile, even thouh the enemy is way less than 25% health, my SW:D will get really close, but not kill. That is so disappointing when it happens. The normal cooldown of SW:D is 10 seconds.

One would think that, from the description, that if you just miss out on killing, then a second pop of the SW:D would finish the enemy off, and you get the spirit tap buff after all.

But it doesn't do that at all. Upon testing, when I get the enemy below 25% and the SW:D doesn't kill, it is NOT immediately reset at all. It does appear to have a smaller cooldown, but no immediate reset. So until I hear of it actually doing an immediate reset, I'll skip the glyph since a reduction of 4 econds before casting it again really is not that much of a benifit when compared to soe of the other glyphs.

Currently, this glyph appears to be completely bugged. It has absolutely no effect on the cooldown of shadow word death for me in any situation.

This glyph is bugged.
It does not (instantly reset). I hope they fix this sooner than later. I am sure there is some money for in-game item they will implement before this even gets acknowledged.

Got a bit troubled with this glyph, i just turned level 50 so raiding or pvp hardly counts for me. So my question is if this glyph is worth taking when you still are leveling too 85. The tooltip says that the glyph only triggers, when you hit him below 25% and he is still alive. but from my encounters against normal nps, i allmost kill all normal npcs instant below 25% with SWD.

In Mists of Pandaria this glyph has changed. The cooldown reset from the glyph is now baseline for the SW:D spell*. The Glyph of Mind Blast talent from the Shadow tree has been removed but the ability is still available through this glyph.

OLD: Glyph of Shadow Word: Death - If your Shadow Word: Death fails to kill the target at or below 25% health, your Shadow Word: Death's cooldown is instantly reset. This effect cannot occur more often than once every 6 sec.

NEW: Glyph of Mind Blast - When you critically hit with your Mind Blast, you cause the target to be unable to move for 4 sec.
