Based on the Golden Lotus quest chain which gives you an accessory, one can assume you need exalted with the Klaxxi to start the chain.

It's confirmed, this starts the finale quest chain for The Klaxxi, given upon reaching exalted.

This quest unlocks at exalted. All you need to do is fly over to the Heart of Fear and talk to Malik the Unscathed. A short RP event will follow. The quest completes when the event ends. Don't bother looking for an NPC to hand it in to. Use the auto complete function on the right hand side of your screen or in your quest log.

This does indeed require Exalted to attain. Malik is outside the Heart of Fear pretty much where he's listed on the map. Did the chain today upon hitting exalted.

Is Needed before you can get this quest. The quest will be given as a non daily in the Daily Hub area.

I encountered a bug with this today on live:

When you find Malik on the battlefield, if you speak to him and nothing happens try relogging. I was mounted and this may have caused it, but all I had to do was relog and try talking to him again dismounted and the RP event started immediately.

I just reached exalted and found out why someone might not get this quest. You need to complete every quest in Dread Wastes needed for the achievement Dread Hastes Makes Dread Wastes
Before that you can not get this quest!

You have to complete achievement and PLUS all the "normal" quests given by the paragons to get this questline. Check all your Paragons for quests (if you don't see all of them @ the hub, you definetly missed a quest somewhere).

For me it was Skeer the Bloodseeker. I didn't finish his Quests.

Must be Exalted with the Klaxxi, and have completed all the Paragon quests.
If you've started this quest and it appears bugged, (like sending you back to Malik and he's not there, or autocomplete is not available).
Just go back to the quest in your log and select complete to get The Wrath of Shek'zeer quest and continue on.

Ok, for everyone who is wondering why they can't do this quest and they are exalted - you need to have completed all of the quests and unlocked all of the Paragons.

That means you need to have completed - that means more quests after you get .

If you don't know where you are and what you have left, check which of the Paragons for and then check the page to see where the quest chains are.

The usual ones missed are the reputation dependant quests:
requires honored reputation
requires revered reputation
requires revered reputation

NOTE

If you are reading ahead on this questline, make sure you do all of the branches for the Paragons - you'll get more dailies which means more reputation per day (and it's slow). Make sure when you hit revered you pick up your Grand Commendation of the Klaxxi - use it as soon as you hit revered then turn in any remaining quests since you'll get double experience straight off!

I had a major issue with completing this quest. I sat through the dialogue exchange and then the quest completed but there was nowhere to hand in. The 'auto complete' thingy didn't come up in my 'objectives' list on my screen and so I spent ages looking for a place to hand in. I tried logging in/out, reloading my ui and even exiting the game to make the quest handin npc appear to no avail.

I discovered two things: one, that you can auto complete a quest through your quest log (if it is an autocomplable quest) and that its worth checking to see if this is the case.

This quest was just SO disappointing. Ok I almost instantly knew Malik was going to die by the words he chose as he flew away after I accepted the quest BUT I expected something: An epic battle, a hard fight, something revealing.

Instead: An enemy shows up, insta-kills Malik like a godmode cheater with ~me~ standing there, not even being allowed to attack, *like I don't care* (but I do).
So I am forced to stand there, let that all happen while that *censored* may even turn his back on me and walk (yeah - literally walk...) away until he despawns WITHOUT me being able to do anything the whole time.

Ok, recap: So I just got exalted and am fully excited as how the story continues but get served a quest which makes me look like I AM AFK while my EXALTED REPUTATION *friend* get's blown into pieces.

Neat...

But that's not all:
The follow-up quest comes immediately The Wrath of Shek'zeer

So now I at least want to do SOMETHING. Too bad the quest marker always just shows the middle of the quest area instead of where I can instantly kick butts. So I fly around a little, looking for the right area.
Arrived at the target location I have to WAIT for the spawns.
So I SIT there and WAIT. After 20s I lost patience.

So I went to kill the 25 Mantis that were part of the quest, too:
1) Zan'thik Subjugate
2) Sra'thik Subjugate
3) Krik'thik Subjugate

At that time I got the two buffs
1) Raining Blood (1s CD, each attack builds up 1 of 5 stacks; 5 = area stun + lots of damage to target)
2) Battle Hymn (HP-restore by performing attacks after killing an enemy)

Guess what ? I almost died because I was expecting that the Battle Hymn would work to regenerate my HP. But no - doesn't work for any of the 3 listed NPCs - ever.
Sloppy design.

Next: Supporting my *exalted reputation* Klaxxi friends. Guess what ?
Raining Blood procs also stun them. So a buff for me, that I got from them stuns them, too while it should only work on enemies while I am attacking the enemy. Despite being friendly as well as exalted with these guys the spell targets them...
/major facepalm

At that point I felt like there was nothing right - at all.
1) AFK actor
2) proc failure
3) spawn time waiting + proc targets allies

On completition there's not even a scene, like "Ok we did it ! Let's fly back." or sth. Instead I just leave them on the field because I have to fly back to turn in the quest.
Btw. there wasn't any explanation who these 3 special enemies were that I had to kill. The whole thing felt like they did run out of time there.

And what do you know...
The last quest in this chain tells us the Klaxxi are worshipping an old god who stands for everything negative that there can be which makes no sense to me at all as why they do that.

The only part of the story that's missing for me now is the raid, continuing this. I wanted to play the story linear to experience it but this quest chain was garbage.

There was literally nothing involved that we hadn't already done before. The little buttkicking there is nothing that we haven't done before in the dailies already. No big show off of any enemy that you'd expect: Aiming for the Queen / getting inside their base.

Unworthy final.

They might as well have come up with the following story (which is almost as good as these 3 quests):
Malik: "Argh ! My heart ! *drops dead*
Kil'ruk: *not a single word about that* "Here's your loot. Oh btw we worship Y'shaarj for no stated reason. He's an old god, who's totally evil. Better be on our side, too."
-Raid enabled: Heart of Fear-

I seriously don't want to see this faction turning 180° like the Zandalari.

While I'm at it: Seriously wowhead... Spoilers are possible and yet there's zero documentation as how to get them working ? This whole text is one and I'd really like to use that feature here but don't know how as the obvious in preview doesn't seem to work... -.-

I had a similar issue as others did where the 'Complete quest' wouldnt popup at the end of dialogue, I was unable to complete the quest within the quest log as others were able to do. I ended up having to disable my addons and it popped after a reload of the UI. I'm unsure which addon caused the issue but I suspect it was Questie (v11.2.15).

MOP Classic - If you are mounted while listening to the quest dialogue between the 2 mantids, the quest completion turn in will not pop up. I tried relogging as another comment said but that didn't work. I had to abandon quest and re-do it unmounted and it worked fine.

If you are using the add-on Questie and your quest log is the far right side of your screen there will be a small quest progress pop-up box that can potentially hang off the screen. That box will complete the quest for you.
