A pretty useless ability. Can easily be worked around by just not attacking when it's active. I suppose it can be used to survive one more turn as you know you wont get attacked.

An interesting combo for this ability is using Pierre's High Fiber right after your Phoenix resurrects. It will remove the debuff dealing 20% of your HP per turn, effectively allowing your Phoenix to survive its own DoT. Keep in mind that you'll still take 2 ticks of the ability (one on resurrection, and another on pet swap) so at most your Phoenix will have 60% of its health.

It is not really a competitive combo in PvP, mostly because nobody will attack when Dark Rebirth is active; and due to the low speed attribute on Dark Phoenix, it cannot be used preemptitively either. But it is still a decent option against some PvE tamers which will attack and trigger Rebirth every single time.
