Deals damage to the opponent even if they switch. Had a pet die earlier from it; they receive the damage at the end of every turn.

The damage is AFTER Siphon Life (in my experience) and deals more damage than SL heals. Between that and Crouch, Scorpids make moderate counters for Lost of Lordaeron as the sting counters the SL heal (and still deals minor damage) while Crouch reduces damage done (ie, amount healed) from Absorb by 50%; however, CoD can do a number on any pet that doesn't resist it, and with Sunlight support, Lost of Lordaeron can still be tough to take down with the extra healing (even when reduced).

Not that anyone uses Lost of Lordaeron; just fyi if you have difficulties against someone who does.
