You can also find some high-level Toads as secondary pets from battles in Howling Fjord. I keep finding them as secondaries when fighting Rabbits and Rats and Fjord Rats on the west side of the zone, so just give it a look.

There are currently 18 different frog/toad pets in the game. Here is a quick reference list.

SPECIAL
Swamp Croaker: This frog has a very detailed model, and it can come in two different skins (green with yellow eyes, or blue with red eyes). It also has two unique abilities (level 2 slot - Croak; level 20 slot - Bubble).
Lifelike Toad: As the tooltip shows, this frog is actually a Mechanical type, which means it has the Failsafe passive. This frog also has Repair in its level 20 slot.
Horny Toad: This toad comes in a lizard model instead of a frog model, and it can come in a variety of different lizard skins.
Mojo: If another player has this little guy out, you can /kiss him to make him follow you instead.
Jubling: This alcoholic frog can be acquired through the Spawn of Jubjub quest on the Darkmoon Island.
Huge Toad: Only frog with the H/H breed.
Leopard Tree Frog: Only frog with the S/S breed.
Yellow-Bellied Bullfrog: Only frog with the P/P breed.

Frogs are very underrated pets. Frogs are a "Super Counter*" against Undead type pets with Tongue Lash and Swarm of Flies, AND frogs come in handy with their team heal/weather ability Cleansing Rain.

As TamerThomas noted, frogs are the best pets to kill Undead types. The thing about the regular old Toad however, is that he is the -best- frog out of all the frogs to counter Unborn Val'kirs. This is significant since Unborn Val'kirs of course are the number one most popular pets in pet-PvP at this time.

Why is he the best of the best? Firstly, any frog you choose needs to be faster than 244 speed. 244 is how fast the fastest Unborn Val'kir (BB breed) is and you need to be faster than that to get your extra hit of Tongue Lash out to maximize your damage. This Toad's HP breed is the only HP breed of all frogs to be above 244 speed. This means he is naturally faster than the fastest Unborn Val'kir without needing to waste stats in speed. Other frogs have to be some version of B or S to be faster.

The proper usage of this pet is to bring him in first for teams that do have an Unborn Val'kir as they usually put their Val'kirs out first. Once they do Haunt, switch him out. Switch him back in when they switch their Val'kir back in after they revive. Val'kir teams almost always end with their Val'kir being the last pet alive, so your Toad needs to take the Haunt dot and switch out so it can survive until it and the Val'kir are the last two pets standing. Considering it deals weak damage to Toad, you do super-effective damage to it, and you have a heal, It is a faceoff the Val'kir will lose.

Out of all pets and out of all breeds, the HP Toad is the absolute best to counter both breeds of the Unborn Val'kir.
